Wish I could make it but unfortunately thanks to the tendonitis am struggling to play at the mo, which would kind of spoil it...
Actually Shaun I have a funny feeling I took that one. That sucks, I hope you shake the tendonitis soon man.
 2.
I'm not convinced it is a '69 but he doesn't say the last two digits of the serial number. He says the last two digits of the date stamp on the base of the neck which would indicate year of neck manufacture.
He's very vague about it's location you could actually read it a couple of different ways.
 3.
It's not snobbery, it's hygiene.
Plus from a potential buyers point of view you get a more accurate idea of the scrapes and dinks.
 4. I take it the string fell off the saddle then.
 5.
I'm tempted to buy it just to stop him using an even bigger font
Soon it'll be.... BACK FROM MY HOLIDAYS AND THE NECK IS NOW STRAIGHT AS A DIE. £80.
 6.
....Just to add....the 3 quieter strings are all brand new. However the E string is a recycled one from an old set that I've stuck on there just to string it up. I think its actually a thick gauge A string as opposed to a regular E string (although it is thicker than the brand new A string) To my knowledge though, that shouldnt make it this much louder than the other three, right? :S I could try the swapping around when I get the chance too.
In theory a different string with a different amount of steel in it could make a difference. I'm not sure how noticeable it would be in practice, I mean you've raised and lowered the pup height which should make a far greater difference than a few microns on the string core. I'd still go with an imbalance in the magnets and go for the swap.
 7. I don't know if this is a solution but it's probably worth a pop... Have you tried swaping the pups about so the E/A one goes in the D/G spot and vice versa?
 8. Haha BC gets a mention in the listing. I wonder who this "luthier" is that can't set up his bass for him.
 9. Yes. Haha beat you Matt.
 10. WD-40 could make it worse. Maplin's switch cleaner is what you want.
 11. Drag a cloth over it and you might get a few bob more.
 12. I guess you could just not stick it down until it's fully built and strung up, then move it about until you have it intonated as best as you can then mark and glue it and then do any finishing work.
 13.
Missed it.
Regard it more as "rescued from it".
 14.
Hang on - isn't white supposed to be the new black? ...or was black the new white?...
Surely it's Gold is the new Surf Green?
 15.
Right, I think it's ready. Just hope there's no nasty humming... (of course, I'm joking...)
Haha
 16.
It's all a mystery to me man. Ta..!
There's nothing to it really, if you are installing passive pups with 2 wires only then you can't really go wrong. If you've fitted a pair (or more) and they don't quite sound right (weak) try flipping both wires on one - they've probably just landed up out of phase.
 17. White is white... not that it matters too much.
 18.
Jesus jumper the next minute
You know it makes sense.

 20. What does that tell you?
 21. Pm'd
 22.
A cloth dampened with warm soapy water, elbow grease and patience. Don't be tempted to use nail varnish remover and the like - there's a fair chance it'll strip more than the glue off! I have seen dedicated cleaning liquids for removing sticky marks but I've not tried it so can't really comment.
+100000000000 Lay your warm damp cloth over the patch for a few minutes first.
