1. 'kin 'ell! Someone had to say it.
 2. Neepheid and I went halves on one - he got the neck, I got the body + h/ware. Rugged solid bodied 80's fare with hot pups. Not bad really.
 3.
Not that they ever manage to line up strings and PUP even with the less critical tolerances
True.
 4.
don`t know why it is ignored..it is a great one
I thought so too.
 5. It also helps the tolerances in the final assembly be less critical.... like having a roomy keystone. Bridge alignment anyone?
 6.
???? how do you know whats gone on?
He doesn't. It was simply a humorous pre-emptive on another Basschat meltdown.... which you yourself (by re-editing the "time-wasters" bit out of your own title) have neatly and wisely nipped in the bud.
 7.
Uh oh, here come the handbags.
Well it has been a couple of days.
 8. Ho5 is code for Hattori Hanzo.
 9. Or................ ........ if it's taken this long to suss it, just keep it the way it is. It will ultimately be worth way more than it's brothers and sisters as a genuine rare oddity, like a Penny Black with the queen's head on backwards.
 10.
....Refund & take it elsewhere.
+1
 11. I use clear see-thru straps (sometimes people even ask how keep the bass up )... more in keeping with this I feel. Bermp.
 12.
No, as my dad always said 'This says mug not c***'
That's a shame, it would have made a cracking new avatar.
 13. Is it yours now Wayne?
 14. 4 mins to go. Ooooooooooh.
 15.
unless the photo's are playing tricks that looks like daphne blue to me , I have an identical bass , also an identical colour john cruz masterbuilt 1960 strat which says daphne blue on the certificate nice bass , good luck
Surf Green is notoriously difficult for all but the best digi cameras to capture accurately out with perfect lighting conditions. Natural daylight helps.
 16. Good ad but not enough pics of the dirt and ming on the fingerboard for my liking. We need at least 5-8 more.
 17.
I have just the one. I'm not a bass player but I went to the council tip a few weeks ago and someone was throwing away a hard case. I asked if I could have it as I could make use of it and he gave it to me. On opening the case I found this. Ibanez BTB300BG. Not sure What to do with it.
That's handy. You join Basschat earlier this year (presumably sans bass) then some weeks later a stranger "down the dump" hands you a perfectly good bass for nothing. Happens all the time.
 18. Maybe it was owned by someone who realised that they don't live up to the hype and they ditched it. Teehee. Nice post WOT. It's good round here when were looking our for each other.
 19.
Cheers for linky Ou7shined. That's rather tasty (tho I still prefer the Super J). Did you do that Mr Wazoo? I wonder if the following will be a Super Bongo?
NP This is the original thread. It shows Mr Bocete's concepts and final mod.
 20.
hrhr..you speak german!?
Nur ein bischen. (Ich wohnte für ein Jahr da. )
 21.
I'v removed all my content from this thread, because while some people did "get it" that it was just an artist impression other have completely missed the point and become really obnoxious about it. Best I keep those sketches to myself.
Blimey Batman you don't half fly off the handle sometimes. Unless other posts have been removed, I don't think anyone didn't "get" that these were concept drawings. And I presume the "obnoxious" claim was aimed at me - well I guess I could have described it as "Hey look at me" and "Blingy" but I prefer grown up words. You posted asking for opinions... and you got them. It's a pity you choose not to take the rough with the smooth. Here you go Machines - they were posted publicly for all to see... not to be rumbled back into a school bag at the sight of the big boys coming.
 22. I quite like the headstock. Did Bocete got into detail why he chose that specific design? As for the rest of it? I find it interesting (I like the dreamy looking white pup) yet as there are no benefits from fanned frets, ultimately pretentious and slightly ostentatious.
 23.
the easiest way is to get hold of a scratch plate and use the pickup hole in that + router to create your template. you'll have to drill out the corners first to achieve the correct corner radius, a 6-7mm drill bit should work.
The downside to that of course is that jazz neck pups aren't always the same size as the bridge one and you could end up wasting time routing out a lovely neat cavity that's too tight.
 24. Sweet. *whispers* Pity it's a 3eq.
