  1. Good afternoon, Armitage, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. Your tracks seem perfect for a video game (take that as a compliment, please...). Good Stuff; keep the drummer.
  2. My immense modesty (without which I would be perfect ...) prevents me from replying to this.
  3. The Epiphone JC Signature bass is on my bucket list.
  4. You've nimbly side-stepped the question, though. I'll put it again... So what's the score if the singer wants to sing a number slowly, and it turns the song into a pig's ear..? Go with the singer's choice, turning the song into a pig's ear..? Really..?
  5. Good evening, MBofB, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. I'm originally from Norwich (as you can tell from my accent...). Jack Casady is my N° 1 bassist; good call.
  6. Vat is not payable on private sales of second-hand goods, but is due for any commission charged by a commerce for such sales.
  7. VAT, if applicable, would be calculated on the commission, not on the full sales price.
  8. S'nowt to do with me..!
  9. Ironic, when the subject of the topic is largely 'One cannot judge from appearances'.
  10. It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good..!

    Hi !

Magma..? Noir Désir..? Meï Teï Shô..? Kiemsa..? Little Bob Story..? No-one Is Innocent..? Rita Mitsouko..? Bashung..? Jean-Jouis Murat..? There may be others; I've not seen absolutely all there is 'de bon en France'.

  13. ... and a 250w speaker that may not like to be driven to 400w, without the extension cab. Lucky it's still working at all..!

    Hi !

Cheating..? Cheating..? Me..? Why, you ..! I'm British; came to France in the mid-'70s. I like to think that I'm starting to pick up some of the nuances of living here, such as the lingo, but am, in equal measure, losing what little 'culture' I had from my UK upbringing. No bad thing, some would say. I've kept the accent, though; it's my sure-fire magnet for social success with the ladies. One has to have some quality, somewhere.
  15. Good evening, PW, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  16. Mmm..! Lentils..!

    Hi !

Good afternoon, Olicor, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. There are more than a few here from the European continent, so you're far from alone. I'm in France, too; Lower Normandy (hence the 33 (France...), 53 (Departement code...).
  18. Too late; I've already desisted in favour of the good Doctor's selection. No worries, there'll be plenty enough direction to choose for your composition..! A vos claviers..!
  19. Good afternoon, Joan, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  20. Are people TOO LAZY to go beyond knee-jerk reactions and Luddite thinking..? Some, apparently, are TOO LAZY even to capitalise their sentences..! Just how LAZY can you get..? (Apologies offered for the SHOUTING, but it really is a bit rich..! )
  21. And the joint winners are... Doctor J and Dad3353..! Here, then, are your Winner's Certificates (download and save as pdf file, then proudly print and frame...) ... BC_Chal_Cert_2018_02.pdf ... which look like this (but bigger, of course..!)...
  22. Damned..! Drat..! Darn it..! Here I was, content in the thought that, early evening, I'd prepared in advance the Winner's Certificate, only to now find that it's all changed, and that, not only is there an exequo, a tie for the Top Spot, but the guilty intruder and trouble-fête is none other than myself..! Blast..! I'll have to change the Certificate, already graphically challenged with the extra-long title of Doctor J's fine piece, and try to squeeze in a brief mention of my own humble work..! Another late-night session then; sorry folks, back later. (How blinking inconsiderate..! If only the votes had been cast earlier on..! Why, oh why did we ever allow three votes anyway..? Now then, how did I do the last multi-winner one..? I'll put the kettle on, first. Dear oh dear; what a turn-up for the book..! Challenge..? Don't give me 'Challenge'..! [Mutters off looking for the tea caddy...]...)
