  1. Most (all..?) mail order companies allow returns if the product is not suitable, for whatever reason. Thomann have been rather good when I've messaged or 'phoned for specific information such as your request. They'll take note, check what's what, then get back to you with the reply. I needed info for a bass case for example; it worked out very well. Hope this helps.
  2. Once upon a time, a very long, long time ago... “Straplocks you shall have my young Padawan.” I'm not so young now, though, and may not have the longevity of The Master.
  3. Can't hear any problems, myself. It looks and sounds as if everyone is enjoying themselves. S'all good, for me.
  4. Good afternoon, NB, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. I, too, am a drummer.
  5. Bad ears, you say..? That rings a bell that I can't hear (and you'll have to speak up, lad ...). I'll repeat my recommendation of Superlux; mine are HD 669; there are other models, but these suit me fine, and are not expensive. Hope this helps.
  6. Good evening, SC, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  7. Good evening, Fternolad, and ... Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share.
  8. Not much, I'm afraid. A terse reply, maintaining that, in their view, it's 'spam'.
  9. I have a bag with about one hundred or so plectrums in it. I can never find the bag. (Disclaimer : I play finger-style only; it's when I want to find a pick for a guitarist that I hunt ...)
  10. No, that's an HCT-J17TR, the guitar offered by Hofner for our 'end of Bash' raffle, and very nice, too..! The bass to its right is a Hofner 190, looking very much like a Gibson SB400, and plays just as well. A great recording bass.
  11. Ha..! It's a gite that I hired for a long week-end, especially for the occasion, to allow our guests to pass a reasonable time (four days...) together. Off-season, so low rates. Our pad..? Ha..! At that time, we didn't really have a roof..!
  12. OK, I see your point. It certainly doesn't apply to my posts, which are sincere recommendations, but I can understand how it would be difficult, or even impossible, to sort the chaff from the wheat. I'm too naïve, I suppose; whatever happened to Good Old Honest Trust And Faith..?
  13. Indeed. Too early for me; I got sucked in a few years later, and organised, for three consecutive years, the Hofner 'French Bash' (2012,13,14...). Folks came from the UK, Blegiup, France (of course...) and even a fellow from the US of A..! Here's a few pics of the First French Bash. Happy Daze... That's just some of the guitars brought; I still have a 'special' Verithin long-term lent to me by my Blegian friend..!
  14. This seems to pose a problem to some, which intrigues me. What's the issue, as I'm at a loss to understand.
  15. Hofner - The Complete Violin Bass Story ... ... and ... The Hofner Guitar: A History ... Yes.
  16. I've been a Mod on another Forum for some decades, and posted a topic on TB in 2013 recommending in similar terms a splendid tome on the History of Hofner guitars and basses, including an Amazon link. That 'spam' post is still there. T'is a funny ol' world.
  17. And you'll get another, here, if you continue with this poor use of language..! ...
  18. I've registered an appeal against the 'posting 'spam' warning I've been given, as I sincerely believe that Alfie's book deserves to be recommended, and all the more so on a Bass Forum. I'll see what comes of it...
  19. And another ... TB Miscellaneous ...
