    Agree with every word. I'm in a similar situation with an AH500, an AH300 and 2x AH150. I've had them all serviced by my local amp tech and they all play like new amps. Put out far too many watts considering what's written on the outside with tones to die for. If anybody's into those 80s tones (whether it's rock, soul or funk) these are the kiddies to have. IMO nobody has surpassed the TE tonal package. I can't understand why everybody doesn't have at least one - weight isn't an issue with the heads.

    Agree that they have some interesting designs....been tempted but not so much that I've spent my hard earned. Be interested to hear from current/ former owners.

    I wasn't familiar with "Blurred lines" so I YT'ed it. Sorry, but am I missing something? I don't think that the lyrics are any more misogynistic than many other tunes out there. Songs have been suggestive since forever and haven't been criticised. Hasn't that been the nature of Rock'n'roll?

    To complicate matters further, remember your tone knob - you can still add bass/ treble to give an even wider tonal palette. Nobody ever said that they can't find a tone they like with these pups!!

    I have the SimS pick up system in one of my @Andyjr1515 builds - very impressive. I believe he's using them on his current project. Nick Smith ( @doctor_of_the_bass) was their public face up till January of this year. He brought a couple of their basses to The Herts Bass Bash a few years ago. I think he had a few at his shop/studio in Peterborough. There are several demo videos on YT. Quality is up there with the best of them - top quality hardware and amazing build quality - I haven't heard a bad word about them. They're in the £4K price range and on at least a par with the competition. If I had the cash I'd give them serious consideration.
