I don't think so - I was disappointed on so many levels - from the customer service to the lack of TEness. If I could get my money back , I would.

I had the same bass - bought for aesthetic reasons really - I didn't get on with it. It felt underpowered and the tonal package was pretty limited. Yes, I know it is a vintage design so I should have guessed but it just felt "out of date". Sorry to be negative but I think that others have similar experiences which is why there are so many for sale used.

What's the difference? I'm assuming the number of pick ups.

That's evolution... Some things don't work so they don't get passed on. You'll either improve your next design or find another. I've thoroughly enjoyed following this thread. 👍

Buy a head - at around 12lbs they are very manageable. You have a vast choice of lightweight cabs - personally I'd get a Vanderkley.

Are you thinking losing the grain? Definite "NO!" from me. Seal it by all means.
