1. Hmmmm, well I thought it was original, but I suppose it could be one that's been bought afterwards and fitted. It was like that when I got it so honestly I don't know for sure. Certainly looks well though! Maybe the guy who had it before me swapped so it 'looked cool' or whatever. He said he's had it since new, and I had no reason not to believe him. Cheers
2. Haha! I know times are hard, but the only thing I find down the back of my settee are dog hairs and the odd chip! I did once find the remote control for the dvd player after it had been missing for 12 months AND we had moved house. Weird. Cheers
3. Oooh, it's nice. If it was strung through body I might have been interested, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass. Cheers anyway though!
4. What year is it? Any piccies? Cheers
I'd totally love this. It's just a shame that you don't want a pristine US Oly white jazz in trade. Ah well, have a free bump on me.
5. Yea, eyup mate. Another Yorkshire lad to add to the collection. Good old Barnsley here. Cheers
6. Thanks Noel and King. Yes, my active one has got 3 neck plates with 2 bolts in each, making it a 6 bolt neck, whereas this passive version has only 2 plates; 4 bolts. Yea, the 'fine tuners' are pretty much pointless, but like you said, it gives the bridge a lot of mass, adding to the sustain. So it is the stock bridge after all. I'm just having alittle tinkle on it now. It is so well made; pretty much like everything Yamaha make. Cheers gents.
7. the bridge was on it when I got it and I think it's the stock bridge, BUT it IS different to the bridge on my rbx800a. A few things are different on that though, like the active one has 24 frets whilst this has 22, the truss rob is accessed from the headstock end on the active, whereas this is accessed from other end of the fretboard. As for the thumbwheels on the bridge, yes, they are like on a headless bass; turning them does alter the pitch..... Maybe it's not stock after all.....can anyone shed any light on it? I wasn't telling fibs when I said I haven't seen many! Cheers
8. *Feeler* - I love this bass and feel totally at home with it, but I have too many instruments and a nagging other half. She's right, the herd needs to be culled! 1995 American Standard P-bass. Totally original. A few little marks here and there on the edges, but it is 15 years old; really hard to photograph, the marks, but there's nothing of any real detriment. It is a very clean bass, as in no grime/gunk build up on the fingerboard or anywhere else for that matter. It has little to no fretwear, plays an absolute dream with a nice low action. Strung through body. Sounds deep fat and punchy, and for a passive bass puts out a very healthy output. Gigbag with it too, but no hard case. Strung with rotosound swing bass if I remember correctly. They've been on for a while and have been boiled a couple of times, but they still have some twang if you like that thing. I personally don't! All in all, a lovely sounding and playing USA P-bass. Price-wise I'd be looking for £620 Cheers
9. I'll wait then. I'm in no rush. Just let me know when you send them and how much it cost. Cheers Thanks again
10. I'll have them if you'll post them up to sunny Yorkshire and I'll pay whatever it costs. Reading them got to be better than watching Glee or Friends! (the missus!), and she won't nag me for sitting on the laptop, ie on here, all night! Cheers

12. Fair point, but I have done trades before via courier services with no problems....I could give you my landline number and address etc, a link to my band's website, my ebay account username etc etc so you know I'm genuine, and I would trust a *reputable* courier (ie Parcelforce) with my bass. Just let me know if you'd like to see some pics of it, as it's doing me no good sitting unplayed; and I really do need a new amp! Cheers
13. Any interest in a trade for my immaculate 5 string Status Groove bass (burgundy?) Cheers

17. Interested in my totally mint and virtually unplayed (5 hours max) 2008 Spector Euro5 LX in black cherry? Cheers
18.
Up for trade, with hopefully a small amount of cash my way. My beloved Musicman Serial number E47642 completed on 07/25/05 It is a 2 EQ Sting Ray, Black with a maple fretboard. Have owned this bass less than a twelve month evreything about it is perfect, a few very small knocks on the headstock but the kneck and body are like new. Plus my Sandberg California JM4 post here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...p;#entry1176594 if bass is worth it then a closed wallet (and sod the taxman). Looking for a Musicman ideally 4 string but could go for a 5 if the bass is right for me. Would like a Natural finish as the only thing I don't like about my Musicman is the colour not too bothered if it is stained but not a sunburst, an extra pickup would not go amiss either. This is my last ditch effort to find the bass I am lusting after so if no offers may remove post early. Have taken shots of the Musicman just need to drag them off my camera and post them which I will do shortly.
