1. The saddles are there to do a job, not to look pretty! String brand, age, condition, set up, etc can all affect the intonation of the instrument, so like has been mentioned, check the intonation frequently and don't worry about the position of the saddle relative to the others!
2. I will have them please. I will pm you my address. Thank you
3. If I'd known there were people from hucknall on here, I would have invited you to the gig we played at the John godber centre the other week. Would have been nice to meet fellow basschatters. Nice little place hucknall

5. Bought a cheap and cheerful Westfield p bass off James. Was sent very quickly, was well packed and was a thoroughly pleasant experience. And I can't believe how good the bass is for the money! It lives on my settee now. Cheers mate! Pleasure
6. Yorkshireman here! More soul than punk, but a bass player is a bass player! Welcome
7. There are some right nob heads joining basschat recently. Is there not some way of vetting prospective members before they are free to post?

11. Ok folks, here is a one off. It's nothing special really, but it works just like it should. It's a 15" enclosure in which I installed 2 ports on the rear. I also fitted an Ashdown 150w 4ohm driver in it which Ashdown sent me in error and I never returned; naughty me. 2 x 1/4 jack inputs on back, 2 x handles, not massively heavy. I have used it in conjunction with my Ashdown 15" combo, just to give it a bit more volume, like a 2x15 stack. I haven't used in for ages in favour of my 4x10, and for home practice, I just use the 15" combo, so it's sitting here unused. Just thought someone could get some use out of it. A cheapy 15" enclosure for next to nothing. It's as solid as a rock. Only asking 50 quid for it. (actually listed it on ebay for £60 today then thought why hadn't i put it on here!!?). I will happily pull it if any of you lot want it. Any gear trades considered. What you got? I love stuff. My mrs doesn't! But as I type this, she is hogging the TV with X-factor, so it's a trade-off. It won't let me upload the pics for some reason i think they are too big, but the link to the ebay ad is here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170728452838?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Mods. if this is against frum rules, please say, but I do not know how else to show pics. Both the basic and advance uploader shows error messages when I try and upload a picture. Cheers

13. Any interest in my immaculate 5 string Gibson Les Paul bass? Cheers
14. My excuse is that I don't smoke and what I've got in value in basses won't go up in smoke and/or kill me. Oh, and I am a bit sad.
15. Yes. Welcome to the gig club. The first rule of gig club is to enjoy yourself. The second rule is remember rule number one! But seriously, spare bass, spare leads, tuner, setlist! I've never taken spare strings, just a spare bass, which I've never had to use in anger anyway. Good luck
