1. Get your girl friend to marry me then I could marry an American and ..... No that won't work for you , would be kinda cool for me all the same. I have a buddy who is a session drummer and he made the leap to New York about two years ago. He hasn't been out of work since. Shoot me a pm and I will give you his email. He did marry an American in the end but that was for true love
2. Wow that's a lot of pedals !! Cheers dood
3.
The only thing of mild interest I've seen so far is Markbass's 'multi amp'. But seeing as their gear is pretty transparent I don't see the point I'm eagerly awaiting to see what Zoom have up their sleeve!
I use a mark bass rig myself, I like the simple controls. I am not sure about the multi amp thing. It's cool to be able to get what's we sou d you want but A) I do t have time in a gig pretty sure I would be the only who would notice That's not to say I so t be getting one for the gaff !
4. Anyone seen any cool stuff yet ? The only thing I saw was ebmm have done another reissue again. But I haven't had time to look at much yet so if you found some cool stuff let us know !! Cheers
5.
Stingray - the original, 2/3 band EQ, alinco pickup Sterling - smaller body, ceramic pickup, extra hidden coil Singray 5 - another beast altogether with some changes through the years Bongo - what happens if folk who don't play bass design a bass. classic - musicman realise how much money fender make with reissuing old looking basses oh of course you can have any of these with the classic one humbucker, or with another pickup in there...
Bongo - what happens if folk who don't play bass design a bass. That's the best description of a bongo I have ever heard lol and I loved mine !! I did hate the looks and the painted neck, which I sanded down and oiled. But a great tone mind you I don't think a bass should be praised because its even over all the strings. That's how it's meant to be. Big al .... Normally i Hate pointy basses but man I think this is one cool looking bass. Sterling made for girls and skinny small men looks silly on a big fella Don't buy new if you buy second hand you can normally get a mint condition used one for about half the cost of one new
6.
Mod hat off Oh, and don't whatever you do highlight an issue with a Musicman bass on the EBMM site, or Big Bopper, hopper, shopper or whatever his name is is on your case within a millisecond of you posting it. Mod hat on!
Lol very true !
7. Missed the whole thread, did Gareth have a bit of a mare with a new bass ? The same manufacturer that he had a nightmare with the last two times he bought from them ?
8. For the first time ever I have no real gas, there is a few basses I would love to try but I am really happy with my lot I hope I do t ever sell my stingray 5 or my fretless sr4 love them both. Have a few fenders too but my Dingwall get most playtime Still the sr5 is a beast ! I love it
9. So in love with my AB II but really want a z3 super J and might as well have a super p too Poxy gas
10. Caught two mins of it when the winner was announced, what do you think it would take for the guy to smile a bit ? He won the X factor and still couldn't smile.... Mind you there is plenty of jokes in that
11. Lovin the chrimbo parties mixed in with the weddings, get to play some rockier stuff ! Love my band we have way to much fun
12. Ah pox, I just got that ......
13. I bought a 30th for 1200 usd and sold it for 800 euro. Saw a 2006 ltd ( black and gold) stingray 5 go for 800 euro too. I bought a 25th 5 string HSS for 3600 and got 1800 for it a year later. Just saying, I have no experience with any other brand to this extent I am sure fender or Warwick also have the same problem. Btw I bought my main sr5 a 2005 model in blue dawn colour for 1000 euro second hand. It's been my favourite bass since I got it.
14. Lol yeah fair point and very true ! ...that made me giggle this morn dude
15. My experience with ebmm is that the ltd models will fetch less than half what you paid for them when you try to sell them. Nice looking bass but at 2800 there is a lot you could buy.
16.
It's a TV programme. It's scripted, edited, acted and produced in the same way as Coronation street, On the buses, or the News at ten. I'm sure they do what they need to in order to stay on the right side of the law as far as people paying to vote is concerned, but it's just an entertainment show for idiots. Do people really think the whole thing was put together in order to discover talent?
Yup, it's Saturday night tv, same as the generation game was all them years back. In saying that I was sure my tv was bolloxed as they are alway out of tune and some of the harmonies are horrendous. Then the judges say" its the best vocal like forever"
17. Reckon I could take my bass off and kick it up and down the stage to get something Similar, might even kick it in time too
18. Wow never would have guessed a yammy !
19. Lol man that's great !! Lovin it, but please do tell what bass and set up your using sounds great
20. It's pretty cool ! They really are the way forward I played a large venue and got to crank it up to ten and it was great. It has cut my rack of out boards and eq's to .... Well just the desk and power amps.love the pre set eq and gates for the drums they never sounded as full I play the same 15 ish venues so saving the settings for each room is brilliant Yup loving it so far
21.
Our drummer sounds like a blind man building a shed
Class dude
22. Yup, no brown m&m's !! I have been tour manager I suppose image way I still am. You have the right attitude it would seem so go for it. If you have big names playing it should make it a bit easier but it can be a massive head ache it just depends on how you deal with stress. Go for it dude, I would say pm's might be a better option too drop me a line if I can help I will D
23. Yeah sorry dude what bass ? I am using Dingwall at the minute but I would think a cheap 6 string will be on the cards first
24. And this is how the gas starts ,,,,,,what do you play
