I got most of this in an exchange deal and I've only used it once. Outstanding clarity and volume from this system. Pictures below are only stock ones from Google but I'll take some pics of the actual units for sale tomorrow First up.... Peavey PV2600 amp: This amp will EASILY run the whole PA with plenty of headroom. Please note.... the picture only show the 'through amp' capabilities. This amp for sale is the earlier model which also has the internal crossover facility.... BONUS!! £200.00 Subs are Peavey UL118's x 2: Black Widow equipped. Sorry about the size of the picture.... best I could find from Google. Proper pics to come tomorrow. £250.00 the pair Tops are Peavey HiSys 2's x 2 Black Widow equipped. I've used Thor's picture from his previous FS thread but condition is the same. Chair not included. ;-) £250.00 the pair Behringer Feedback Destroyer Pro Not quite up to a DBX Driverack's standard, but pretty good at sorting out little squeals etc. Used once. £80.00 Lastly, to control it all a Phonic MM1805X mixer. 14 channel mixer with 6 XLR inputs and four stereo channels. Basic built in digital effects, efx send, aux send and two group assigns. Very slimline and will fit most 12U mixer racks/cases if you can find the rack ears on the bay. Comes with dedicated power supply (this has a rattle when you shake it.... may a small piece of plastic is jumping around on the inside.... however, easily cured..... don't shake it!!!) and a fully padded flightcase. The case has some 'pitting' to the metal hinges and corners etc, but works fine. £70.00 Set of Tripod stands included if you want to run the tops alone. Full range, just use the middle poles of these as extenders into the 'top hats' of each cab. FREE with system as a job lot Buyer to collect from Brandon in Suffolk. Retail price for all this gear brand new would be in excess of £2,200.00 Separately this adds up to £850 which are all at bargain prices. Bundled price for sale here for my Basschat buddies at £740.00!!! This won't go any lower and if no sniffs by the weekend, it wil go on E-Bay for a higher price.

They did move factory last year.... but saying that, the two I've owned (Dear Old Blighty custom in my avatar I still have) have been made pre-move and were/are majestic in every way.

Traded basses with Chris. Top chap, excellent communications and a lovely '81 P Special to boot!!
-
I agree with Chris. I have owned both and there are too many other fundamentals which affect the sound on each bass (wood density, different strings, set ups etc) for you to make a decision. My 30th was strings-thru, but it also had a mahogany body, which altered the tone. What particular musicman are you talking about anyway? I assume it's the Stingray. If so, and you have one, it'll either be a pre- Ernie Ball model, or one of a batch made for the German market. They've only just gone back to strings-thru in the classic series.

Was it a different shop? If so, there's your answer.
The hyperbole ("THIS BASS IS AMAZING"). The superfluous information (I USUALY USE EFFECTS PEDALS FOR DEEP RICH FLTTENED RIFFS, AND DEEP GRUNT) as if I give a beggar's toss about how you play.
That's about the millionth time I've read the word 'hyperbole' today. (Actually, it's twice but the joke wouldn't have worked so well!!)
Isnt it quicker to order direct form the USA then? Somewhere like bass central.
You can't. If a shop in the US sold a new MM abroad then they are contravening their licence as a dealer and Sterling will withdraw it. Strings & Things are the official UK distributor. Speak to Pete (Blind Lemon) and he'll advise you best.
You really need to add more info like where you are based, how much is shipping etc. Dont forget this is a UK based forum. And i doubt anyone knows anything about you. No offence but I think your wasting your time.
+1 More info required! Spanking bass though!!!

Have a word with Wombat. He uses FOUR Ampeg 810's at the large gigs his band play!!!!

My band are called The LOOP - three piece set-up bass, drums and guitar/vocal. We only play originals and can best be described as 'Hard Mod'. Think The Jam, but with more overdrive!! Martin (guitarist/singer/writer) just seems to have a knack of pulling out (IMO) great melodies and lyrics about life experiences and everyday situations. The songs are a joy to play! A couple of albums (self recorded and produced) available on I-tunes and busy writing/demo-ing the third as I type. Live wise, we have just got our foot in the door with the 'Scooter' scene, which is a notoriously hard thing to achieve so we are looking to capitalise on that as much as we can. Memorable gigs so far have been supporting Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler on the 2008 From The Jam tour and some ripping gigs in the capital. Anyway, myspace link here. Enjoy!!
Well to me the orange colour does nothing so I agree on that point but before everyone here discounts the 25th or the equivalent Reflex I suggest you remove your Fender blinkers and go try one. Then come back and apologize. I own Fender basses too so I am not biased
+1 Tried a 25th and serious Gas!!!
yeah that's just material stuff, I wish I still had all my 10 fingers to play with rather than 9 and a half
Eugh! Wooten's double thumbing technique has it drawbacks then?

Just measured my '95... 43mm between the nut and first fret, 62mm at the 21st fret, string spacing of 34mm and depth (between nut & 1st) of 21.5mm.
