1. These have been on my "wanted" list since the 90's. Aren't the wonderful basses? I sure wish I could buy (but I can't)
2. John Taylor of Duran Duran, very funky bass lines and always sounds good
3. I had a fretted version just like this one. Absolutely wonderful bass, I would recommend it
4. Chris May came through with a swift answer for my question, the bass is an 'Artisan' model from the mid 80's, so about 30 years old. Fretless and 34" scale. I'm not sure if I will pursue it further, I have never had a fretless bass but have always been interested. I will just have to figure out what is a fair price for a bass like this and go from there. Might need to sell my Trace Elliot combo to help finance this Cheers, z
5. Thanks fellow basschatters for the replys I'll see if I can get better photos to e-mail Overwater directly z
6. Hi there, what can you guys and girls tell me about this Overwater bass that is being sold locally (in Iceland)? It seems to be an old fretless Overwater C bass from what I reckon. Were all of them extra long scale? I have seen info about them being 36" scale. I was having trouble seeing info about recent prices for those, do you have any idea? thanks, z
7. Hi fellow Trace Elliot enthusiasts, I recently bought a BLX combo (had one some time ago and missed the sound of it). The fan is really loud, have any of you had that problem and fixed it? z
BLX 130 I just recently traded away a lovely BLX 130, 'suppose it doesn't do any harm posting it here I already regret letting it go but I needed more wattage and couldn't keep both amps. z
8. Congrats! Looks fantastic. And now you must share the strategy of getting Mrs Ez onside hehe z
9. I bought a Tokai Hardpuncher ltd. edition a few years ago off ebay on a whim, it is a fine bass now strung with flats. I sometimes miss the lack of contour and wish I had bought a normal Tokai p-bass. I don't think I can ever sell it because I would regret it too much (sold a Rickenbacker years ago and have regretted it ever since), and it is hard to find another one like it. Great basses you have Glorihanah and nick
Hi All After 2 years of not playing or in band the itch has returned. Having sold nearly all my gear on here and ebay I have beed quietly re-building my gear and here it is. The Ashdown rig I bought from fellow bass chatter and top bloke Ozzy138 (Dave). The Jazz arrived this morning from Bass Direct. Worth a few words of praise for Mark S at Bass Direct - he was really helpful and nice guy to do business with. The bass is fabulous...very happy. Got a jam session coming up on Tuesday with the making of a new band - can't wait to turn this baby up! Happy Days Now I've decided to go "old school" with a passive bass, no more batteries. This does mean I have my old bass to sell... New post coming soon in the for sale section.
Wow, very nice rig and bass! How would you describe the sound of the Ashdown compared to Ampeg or Trace Elliot? z

Great rig and the bass isn't too shabby either A 2x10 like that is on my wish list when I can make that happen. g
17. Hi thanks, the F1 is great, compact and powerful. I'm just gig occasionally so it's good to have a rig that doesn't take up much space at home but makes me heard when I gig
18. Sweet looking Jazz gsgbass Here's my white bass, a Levinson Blade B3 from '92, I'm pretty happy about it z
19. Hi guys, I have an opportunity to buy a Cimar p-bass, will probably check it out today - see photos. The little I know is that Cimar was an underbrand of Ibanez, but were early guitars made in Japan and later in Korea? I understand that the Japan ones are good quality but what about Korean ones? The bass looks very good on the photos I have and price is reasonable so if it works sonically and plays well and neck is ok I most likely will buy it. Thanks man for your reply, and yes the cab is a more than a little out of my price range But the Proline cab might be an option for me. z
The Reidmar 250 is RRP £399, so a bit cheaper than the closest Mark Bass comparison. The cab...well...a lot more expensive than a Mark Bass 210! Ahem...RRP £920!!! I switched from a Mark Bass LMIII to the Reidmar and much prefer it. Suprisingly, just as loud as the LMIII if not louder!
23. Wow! That's a great looking bass and pretty cool this is your only bass ever (Twigmans' Squire that is, apparently I don't know how to quote...hah) z
