1. OMG, that Japanese guy is hilarious !!! One guy sprang to my mind when reading this thread and that's Verdine White Here he he is doing some sort of solo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Lid4mMad8o Here's EWF at Nobel prize concert http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vGuHFr5tyY cheers, z
2.
My main bass now is a 1992 Rickenbacker 4003,even though I own other basses the Ric is number 1.
Great collection, I'd like to have the same like that with those types of basses (with the Cirrus as a five string). Colours are also just as I would like it, with the exception of having the Rickenbacker JetGlo. Today I have a 1 J-type and 1 P-type bass so I have 3 to go to match it hehe. z
3. Very cool lookin bass !!
'won' this Ibby Roadstar 11 today, - looking forward to collecting and checkin it out!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...%3D1&_rdc=1
4. Absolutely it does !! Thanks for the pic, much obliged
5.
Not something you see every day: Quest Manhattan M3 Built by Matsumoku, Quest was a spin-off brand of Vantage. This is a bit on the pricey side - if it had been the through-neck, transparent/flamed front version I might not have been able to stop myself... J.
Wow, that's a quite interesting bass - looks good and is kinda unique. I can only imagine the through-neck version you talk about, it must be quite something. z
6. That's a good looking Rick copy - I like it!
7. Man! That's a good looking Ibby precision Congrats - please post your impressions on it.
8. Absolutely gorgeous !!! I wouldn't mind having that bass as well as the original Rickenbackers with the checkered binding. z
9. Great looking basses both of them !! My GAS had already begun for the 70's basses and this is not helping I think a also need a Precision like that!! Z
10. Absolutely great looking bass!
11.
Linky not working! Checker binding will probably be an early Fujigen or a Kasuga. I've seen one Matsumoku-built Electra Corsair with checks but that's unlikely. Early Grecos were both Matsumoku & Fujigen, so we'll see... J.
Oops! It was my first time for puttin in a link so my fault for not trying it after posting here's take II: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Early-70s-Grec...1QQcmdZViewItem Z
12.
My recent purchase - 1979 Ibanez Roadster RS800 IV. All original, in great condition - a few knocks/chips, but it adds to it's mojo!
Oh man! That's a beauty
13. I like the looks of that one, JetGlo with checkered binding - it's in Japan though. What do you think of it? Greco??? Z edit: Link
14. Hi there, anyone using Digitech BP50 Bass Modeling Processor? I am totally new to bass effects and there is a used one for sale where I am and I am interested if I get a good deal on it. Z
15.
Thanks. You must be pretty cool in Iceland too! The Aria could always be shipped but I haven't a clue what it would cost and if you would want to pay that.
I would definately be cool playing either of those basses hehe Shipping to Iceland is too expensive now so I'm not too cool with regards to that But the Aria is tempting hehe Z
16.
BUMP
Pretty cool basses there, I would search my sofa thoroughly for money for that Aria Laser if I weren't in Iceland Z
17. How is the B-string on the five string versions of 414 and 614? Z Oh yeah, and by the way - I really like the pickguard and colour of the bass the OP linked to I also had a 4 string BB, the version before the latest, and that one was quite good.
18. This sounds interesting - I would take 2 tickets if this will materialize.........if it's ok for someone from outside UK to participate - I would pay shipping of course Owning a Warwick has been on my list for a long time .........
19. Many thanks for the great answer Bassassin - just as expected from the guru (now where is that "bow down to the master" emoticon) Not that I'll be bidding on that bass though - us Icelanders are in a bad way financially and exchangerateally Good looking CSL you have there also! Z

Great colour body.
Agreed on the colour! I wonder what it sounds like - does anyone have an idea how close those are to a good Jazz? Z
21. Wow, nice collection Scoop - my favorite is the Ricky although that's not my favorite colour on it
