1. I bought his SB301. He was very tolerant of my ineptness with the bass I'd brought hoping to trade. Nice guy; recommended. Thanks Ian
2. Stuart Adamson - Big Country (the Skids, not so much) Bill Carter - Screaming Blue Messiahs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Yc-X2lG_HM
3. Please add me to the list
4. I've got one, and I wouldn't part with it. Pups are a bit underpowered, it weighs a ton, and mine has been half stripped. The nuts seem to wear badly, as well. But it's a great piece of kit. Mine has one black-transparent knob, like Thor's post, and one cream hat-type. The cream hat-type matches the pup colour, so I figured that was probably the original.
5. Better to post it in the Bass guitars discussion subforum here: http://basschat.co.uk/forum/16-bass-guitars/
6. um... tort scratchplate? Looks a tad paler to me
7.
Great music, enjoyed that a lot....
Me too

9. if it was pink I'd have had it...
10. Not just rare, but kinky with it
11. bump
12. Fair enough. Form an orderly queue, then...
13. Beatles, no contest. Though I have a soft spot for 'Live and Let Die'.
14. Okay, I've got another copy of this to pass on. New thread, or via this one?
15. I bought a string Very clean and quick transaction, no issues at all. Thanks!
16.
As a massive geek, I wonder about lin-nux, vs. lie-nux. However as we linux users never actually speak in real life, it's never come up.
What is this "real life" you speak of?
17. I bought joeystrange's Vox Custom 3002. All as advertised, good communications, quick delivery; overall a seamless transaction. I'd happily deal with him again. thanks Mike
18. Where do you get strings to fit this elegant little beastie?
19. Thank you, gentlemen. Any guess at a sensible price for it? I'd be guessing at £150 max, if it's nice to play.
20. On Preloved, owner looking to swap. http://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/105283337 Maybe he can't sell it because nobody knows what it is?
21. You now have an interest in knowing what a reasonable price is. So it's not too surprising if you've now started to notice them, I'd guess. But... I'd never heard of the Vox Standard till I bought mine, and literally two weeks later I saw another (in much better nick) on the wall of the practice room we were using. Maybe I'd have clocked it as "another bass guitar" if I hadn't just bought one, but I doubt it.
22. That's a very nice looking bass
23. Tempting... I love my Vox Standard, which is definitely the intro model (P pickup, bolt-on). This looks very nice indeed (the eBay pics are worth a look).
