1.
Go for it! Its bloody cheap! Its been there for ages. They will do your routing for free as well!
Ah, but then would come the cost of turning it into a bass! Next year I'll get one I expect, and put SD Quarter Pound P pup wired straight to the output jack and a modulus neck on it (I would use a Status one, but the Modulus headstock is more in keeping with a Mock body)...
2. There is a mahogany Mockingbird body at Warmoth that is seriously tempting me at the moment!
3. Very much so. I have been a bit too drunk for my playing's good on a few occasions, mind. I had fun though!
4.
OK, I'm pretty curious about what you didn't get one with. Only niggle I have is the lack of top horn means it hangs in such a way my left arm is way out to get to the low end, but everything else is totally happy. Especially the varitone switch, gonna make one for another bass at some point.
Bit late spotting this, sorry! I was stringing it BEAD, at a time when I was solely using 5 strings, and just didn't like the feel. After I sold it, though, I've gone back to using 4 strings with a D tuner, and when the mock was strung in standard tuning it felt great to me. Ho hum, I'll have another one day no doubt!
5. That's one lovely bass there. I never gave BC Rich the time of day until I spied your first eagle... wouldn't mind another mock or eagle one day myself. Heh, I see you're playing the Lark in the Park there - hope the soundguy was kinder to you than he was to TDR the last time we played there!
6. Great version of Scarified! \m/
7. My '99 standard has.
8. My Encore P bass. It was my first bass, and after copious modification plays better than my US Jazz and Status, and sounds bloody magic! The sentimental value would be enough to keep hold of it, but that fact it slays my other basses is an added bonus
9. A drill, a screwdriver, and the kitchen table were all I used
10. I did it myself, see the link in my sig. I fitted it squiffy, though, so had to move the bridge by a few mm to compensate - turned out fine though.
11. Put it this way, my "go to" bass is now an Encore with a Status neck. It feels and responds so much better than my US Jazz. It seemed to open up more midrange, the bass has more thump. If anything it sounds more organic than the previous neck, but it was an Encore neck at the end of the day!
12. Sounds like a perfect candidate for a Status Graphite neck, I reckon!
13. If you want a traditional look with excellent built quality and sound, I'd personally recommend one of the retroactive range from Status, or the T bass reissue. The necks are phenomenal, as is the sound.
14. If I just use my 2x12, which has a 105db sensitivity rating, I have to max my LM2 to be heard just in rehearsal. With the full 500w into my 2x12 and 1x12, I can run at half way with plenty of headroom. I wouldn't want to rehearse and gig without a comfortable margin to be able to turn up, should my guitarist not exercise restraint with his volume or if we're on a big stage. I like to feel the bass, too, not just hear it under the mix somewhere.
15. Take the Power Back? Good slap line. Come like a Bomb has a great melodic intro. Know your Enemy is a great rock line. There are loads of funky lines on the Battle For Los Angeles album.

Lell Parametric EQ

As you say, its very scooped (more so on the earlier samples). I'd add some more low mid in there as I don't see that cutting through guitars.

Can't hear it, it asks to sign up to listen...
19. Very nice. I love those Ibanez headstocks, very reminicant of the old Fender Starcaster guitars. Looks fantastic!
20. Isn't Mosfet just a fancy term for solid state, though?
21. I kind of miss that white mock. I didn't get on with it when I had it, mind, but I miss it now its gone!
22. I would swap my Little Mark 2 for this if you are interested?
23. Is this still for sale?
