1. If this happens to my mockingbird the guy at the depot will have it inserted in him, by any number of possible pointy ends first.
  2.
Usps to Parcel force, the box was well packed. with the headstock reinforced. No hard case though. It was parcel forces end i am sure. It was stuck in their warehouse for a week at the depot because they couldnt be arsed to send a letter out to me saying it was there and i had to pay VAT. And i cant claim because it doesant adhere to their packing standards.
How did you find out Parcel Farce had it? Right bunch of c*nts, they are. Is there no way you can get compensation from them?
  3. No way! Was that USPS??! Looks like a job for Waghorn dude. I hope my Mock arrives ok...

    danelectro

The bassist in a local band I know got his hands on a Dano DC, and when I saw them live the tone was just as good as Fat Mikes. Blew me away, fatter and punchier than any P or J bass. I'd love one in silver sparkle!

Good enough for Fat Mike, good enough for me

I just wish they'd reissue the DC bass. That one is nice, though, and Dano basses sound amazing.
  7.
No loss of tone at all... It sounded just as full as a Stealth II. Very fast neck as per usual from Rob's fare & huge punch. I still prefer the Status 2-band eq over the newer 3-band like I have at the moment.
The bass frequency on the 2 band is far punchier I reckon - I have it on my Series 1 and do prefer it to the 3 band I had on my S2 Classic.

    'Ignore User'

Yep, it works a treat! There's an option in the user control panel, you just type in the user's name and it blocks their posts.
  10. Bump.
  11. I did the same thing on my wizard thumper - great sounding pup but they easily fall out of the surrounds. He offered to repair it if I sent it back but couldnt be arsed, so I have half a wizard and half an Encore pickup on my P... Still, the wizard side sounds great!
  12.
I have never played a Status but isn't that a bit of a bold statement to make? Maybe they are that good? Steve
Once you've played a Status, you'll wonder how any bass could possibly be easier to play This is a bit OT anyway, because I must be honest, I've never played a Sadowsky, I'm just very pleased with what I've got
  13.
Identical in looks and/or sound?
In that its a Jazz bass I can nearly nail that tone, however! Even on my Status, though, which would run rings around any Sadowsky playability wise, I'm still having issues!
  14.
I was originally going to post this in the other thread but it got closed. I didn't really want to start a new one but after consideration I though that if I can't post it on the general discussion section of a bass forum where can I post it? Hope thats OK. Anyway I bookmarked this video as it was different to any I had seen on youtube. It's Australian TV, there's a very brief interview and then she plays with a band but the camera focuses on her playing. It's about 5 minutes long, there may be a short advert before it plays. Video
Great vid, thanks for posting! That Sadowsky sounds sweet. Although my Jazz is identical, nearly, I'm finding that my hands have a tendency to fall off whenever I attempt to play like her up at the dusty end

I don't think I have one of these yet! Shockwave, Oldgit, Bassjamm... I'm looking in your direction!

    Oldgit's feedback

Si bought a Wii off me, and was very pleasant to deal with
  17. Give me that bass and £500 and you can have my Jazz if you like
  18. Yep. Expensive plank of wood, that.
  19. You have to flatten your fingertips a bit when you fret a note, to cover all three string courses. The play all three at once. The same as you would a normal 4 string, really, just more fiddly. Probably easier with a pick.

    Show us your rig!
Iv seen quite a lot of rigs with that cab configuration. I bet it sounds amazing. Im very tempted myself to go the GK route. However, this year i am being strict with myself and only buying stuff after i have tried it. How does GK stuff sound? Do they have a tight bottom end? Particularly the 2x12.
I think they're great myself - a comprimise between the punch of 10s and the bottom of 15s. Tigher bottom than 15s, and can still cut. The 2x12 came with casters but I found it needs to be on the floor to get the most bottom from it. I've never found it lacking, though. With my band I need both cabs to get the full whack from my head, with just the 2x12 I have to max the head and although its loud, I run out of headroom. With both cabs I have plenty of punch and headroom, and they seem to balance well. NiceGuyHomer had this setup though and didn't get on with it, so it may be worth trying it out if you get the chance.

That's because its an 8x12 with a 4x12 on top

Me and my rig at rehearsal's most important moment - coffee break! Once Dave has finished building my DHA preamp, that will be mounted above the Little Mark 2. I'm going to run it into the effects return and just use the Markbass head as a power amp.
  23. Its got loads of punch, that may well be the Ampeg + P combination... fair play if he uses fingers though, he must have pretty good stamina Ha ha, just browsing Decendents vids, and they did a great cover of Wendy by the Beach Boys http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srQhGvkW_JQ...feature=related

  25.
I like it when people are being themselves. Some women are crude too. Post a six-pack on a girly forum and look at them swarm.
I'm sure some women are. If they did it in as crude and derogatory a manner as some of the comments in this thread, I'd call them twats, just like I would the male variety. It would appear I'm a member of the Bernard Manning fan club. I'll leave you lot to it.
