1. Stu bought my B2A at the weekend - met up halfway and a smooth, pleasant transaction. I've dealt with Stu before and wouldn't hesitate to deal with again

I don't know much about mics, but its an AKG C3000B condenser mic I borrowed off my brother. Seems a nice mic, really!
3. I'm in the process of teaching myself to read music again, but for keys this time. Everything I learned for cello seems to have dropped from my brain, couldn't remember a single note on the staff. However, I found this handy tool and so far it's been very useful indeed - my treble cleff is pretty good now and the bass cleff is coming on slowly (no idea why I'm finding treble cleff easier to remember!). http://www.emusictheory.com/practice/pianoKeys.html It basically flashes up a note, and you then have to click the corresponding piano key. On the same website there are similar tools that omit the keyboard and replace with note names, in case you're not familiar with the notes on the piano.
4. I would have had your arm off a week ago already ordered a an alternative now. Bump for a great price!
5. Sorry, this left me today to go to its new owner
6.
I just sold my sansamp bddi... I tried it with a couple of different amp/bass combinations and I wasn't feeling it at all. I want to avoid using pedals, hence why I'm after a top amp that will do it.
If you didn't like the Sansamp sounds, then you wont like the Tech 21 heads.
7. Hi Adam, I'm Wil over on P*T. If you have trouble finding a Landmark it might be worth bunging a Sansamp or pedal in front of your Ashdown to get the grind you want. The VT bass pedals are meant to be pretty sweet.
8. Sold pending the usual
9.
I will take it then, what about a meet up in Monmouth?
Sounds ok to me fella, how are you fixed over the bank holiday weekend?
10. I'm still after local collection for this, i've got nothing to pack it in and I'm not home in the daytime so it's just less hassle.
11. I bought this quite recently in what must have been one of the quickest sale threads going - It's not getting much use though and I need some funds for a digital piano so it's got to go. Headless Hohner B2A - it's a bit dinged up, but plays well. The preamp works but the knobs crackle a bit, probably nothing some contact cleaner couldn't sort. I'm asking £80, which as far as I can recall is what I paid for it give or take a few quid, ideally collected from North Bristol or I can meet within a reasonable distance. I would prefer not to have to post it.
12. I'd give it a go on the provisio that if it doesn't gel within a few weeks you can leave. I mean, you might grow to really like it - I know I used to hate the blues with a passion, but it grew on me!
13. I think I love it.
14. I wouldn't mind a bongo. Couldn't really afford one, but they have a certain something about them.
15. The idea of tailoring your image to sell your band doesn't sit right with me. I don't make music to make money, though, I do it for fun. I have preferences when it comes to how my instruments look, but that's more personal taste than wanting to have any kind of image onstage.

It's an integral part of my technique, certainly. If it works for your style of playing, use it.
17.
Like a £3 hooker on rent day.
Like an elephant with a drink problem.
18. I always write on guitar. I find a bassline often doesn't have it's full impact until there are a set of chords for it to intertwine with. I'd love a piano to compose on - one day!

Thanks! I wasn't sure about whether I should have put more vocals in it, but probably best to keep it sparse for this sort of thing I suppose. At my current rate of songwriting I should have another one recorded in approximately 2 years time

That good, eh? I'm going to start making more things like this so, so any feedback on things I could do better would be helpful, be that in the recording/mixing or the arrangement
21. There you are. For what it's worth, I think £650 for a good streamer is a good price whichever way you slice it. Good luck with the sale
22. All I can add is IMO, Barts really, really suck. They suck hard. In terms of sucking, they are the lamprays of the pickup world.
23. I had precisely the same problem when I was learning cello. I already had the cello suites I was reading in my memory, so before I knew it I was scanning the dots, not taking them in, and unconsciously playing using my ear and relative pitch. It was a constant frustration in that regard so I ended up knocking reading on the head. If I'd developed the reading before my ear I probably would have absorbed more, thinking about it.
24. Well, up to them, innit?
25.
This bass was on the market on BC for 400 quid last august from a guy in Scotland, and I put in an offer for much less than that. The guy was ready to sell it but I backed off as I had no funds for that. The idea of the forum is to buy and sell back at more or less the same price as a gesture of goodwill. A good deal should be shared. My opinion is shared with platinum multi-selling bassists like Beedster, Warwickhunt, Clarky etc who will never sell stuff for more than they have bought it for (if bought on BC).
To be honest I disagree with this - the current seller can ask whatever he likes for it, it's his bass. It's up for potential buyers to make the call on whether the price is justified.
