1. To address the confusion re: the PRS fee...... The venue has to raise their licence fee in whatever way they see fit. At PRS we SUGGEST that they swallow the fee themselves or add a penny on a pint, but some venues charge the bands for this. Should they do that? No, of course not.... but we can't stop them. If you don't like it then you should complain to the venue that the bands shouldn't be charged for PRS since it is a requirement for the venue to stay in the business of 'live music'. You could of course choose not to play there..... but then you'd have to find another gig at a similarly good venue. However, all of this is idealistic and the fact is that almost everyone who plays in a 'live concert' licensed venue pays the PRS regardless of whether they realise they are doing so. I've lost count of the times I've found out that the PRS fee has simply been added into the fee for 'security', 'use of PA', 'engineers'. 'ticket printing' etc etc and the bands have been none the wiser.
 2. One of my all-time fave bassists..... from that wonderful 70's period where so many bassists played beautiful, imaginative, melodic and memorable basslines!
 3. Yep, he should be selling both for £5000 - £5500.... half his price!

 7. I always went for the classic clean 'smile EQ' with loads of bass and treble and a mid cut. Loved the tone when practicing.... but in a band environment I couldn't hear myself. Discovered 'mids', almost reversed the graphic, added more gain and voila! Bold growling bass tone and easily heard in the band environment!
 8. It's a Mouradian. And it's on my ever-shrinking GAS list!
 9. AND they missed out on making their own version of the current 'in favour' 2x12 Neo cabs.... doh!

 15.
Don't be scared of the Spectors, they are good for any style of music; I use my trio in a very diverse function band. They're a bit like Lamborghinis and Ducatis, people are suspicious until they've had a go for real and when they know what they're like they fall in love.
VERY well said....
 16. STUNNING bass!! If I was a 'five' player I'd be biting your hand off as the words 'Spector' and 'white' belong together! This is a bargain.... paging MrLager!

I saw KISS in (I think) 1983, so I'll see if my memory will allow me to make comparisons
Well, we'll be wearing make-up/costumes so that'll be the biggest difference (they were 'unmasked' in 1983) Would be great to see you Jerry!
