1. Boomers - yes they do go dull quickly but only to the level of new rotos!
2. I did a trade with thom earlier this year, great guy and very dependable
3. i know i'm gonna get shot down for this - but i've used the ampeg 810, 410he, 410hlf and 115e in the practice room - the only one gthat made the whold band go "f***in hell!" was the 115. theory is one thing, hearing is another, and to my ears theres a big difference between a big driver and a small one thats well ported! i've always thought its the bass that gets people moving, not the drums (that just gives them something to dance to thats easy to pick up) hence why clubs and dance music get more people jigging than rock or whatever. like i say, i know i'm gonna get shot down for this, but i can hear (and feel) a big difference....... the same is also true for precision versus jazz *runs for cover*
4. Ibanez or Schecter are very worthy basses - especially at under £ 400! Very nearly bought an omen extreme 5 myself!
5. First try the removing foam bit, definitely try rounds but active emgs bang out a LOT more bass than passives, I have emgs on my punisher and it's just awesome! Could also try Seymour Duncan quarter pounders too if you don't want it eating batteries every couple of months! Have fun and report back!
6. definately not going for less than that dude - her indoors has the foot well and truely down! lol
7. bump - £1500 firm! cracking bass, just not for me, gigs are getting more and more now, so need to find one that i can comfortably play stood up! would do a schecter hellraiser 5 plus £800 though - being as thats what i'm aiming for cheeky good condition ampeg 810 offers plus cash may tempt too!

9. hi there, just having my 2 penneth! just got a line 6 relay g90, and well, its amazing! go where you want when you want, and the cable sim is genious! my brother has the g50 for his guitar after saying he would NEVER go wireless! now he wont go back something the g90 has that i've not seen mentioned is the screen will go different colours, according to how you want it to look/ the leds on your amp! i've used the top end sennheiser, the bottom and top range akg, the samson and the guitar bug. all pants next to the relay! this really is the best wireless on the market, i'm convinced! no loss in tone at all - even the sennheiser had that, and i had to walk thr other side of 4 thick brick walls before it cut out for a millisecond! then it was fine again! obviously i've used a fair few and dont my research, but really, don't bother and just get the relay (nb - i promise i don't work for line 6! oh and i don't get on with their pedals and amps either!)
10. i have no opinion, but thats the best thread title i've seen! congratulations my bro thought the same when leper messiah was metallicas greatest riff! but thats for another time
11.
So how does it sound?
exactly, you can;t tell us about your plans for a rig of doom, finish it, then go quiet!!
12. hi there, just got a relay g90 rack wireless, so set it up in my rack, in exactly the right place to replace my lead. however when i plug straight into the front end of my shuttle 6, its quiet as a mouse. plug the tuner out (of the wireless) to the rack tuner, all is well and works as it should plug the wireless into the sansamp rpm then to the effects return of the shuttle (as i always have) and it makes a bit of noise, bypass the rpm with the active switch, and a whole world of noise escapes. to worsen it further, plug the tuner into the wireless tuner out, even muted its distoring the sound (which is audible) but the unaffected out from the sansamp the tuner works fine. pain in the arse but i LOVE the sound of the sansamp, and rack mounting it is VERY convenient. there was a bit of noise before however, so i don't think the wireless is the issue, just weird that theres no noise then straight into the genz benz. i want to swap to a PA power amp anyway, could this solve it, or just make the noise louder? any input appreciated!
13. i played one of these, and its the only mm i've ever liked - i can see why you swapped. our guitarist was with me when i tried it, and its just magical, every tone is useable and sooooooooooooo easy to play! pup in the right place for my playing style too! really want to get my hands on a 5!
14. i'm doing similar, i've got an affinity j and p, going to put the jazz neck on the p and replace bridge, electrics and put some quarter pounder in it! then after that its making my own from scratch! (5 string through neck :S) best of luck bud and keep us posted!
15. that sounds like what i'm trying to save for! seriously thinking about a crossover for 15" lows and 2x10" high though. i take it you like the sound of the bass on sonic boom too! lol
16. this still up for sale? what are you after replacing it with? i have a genz benz shuttle 6 with carry bag i want to swap for a power amp!
17. what do you have and what sort of thing are you going for?
