Before I was born?

Of course I forgot, I am meant to walk out during the sound check not the performance arent I, silly me! I have Crabtree chrome sockets throughout my house they work well with the Stingray but I find them a bit thin for the Jazz bass, thinking of fitting some screwfix plastic ones just in my practice room to see if the tone improves? Does anyone know which make of fusebox is best for metal?

What colour mains cable is best for a crisp top end? Did it have the EQ button engaged and where was the contour knob? Would a music stand alter the tone of the mains cable if they were on a stage together? Should I walk out of a gig if the bassist does not use the correct mains cable? and if so how would I go about looking down the back of the amp without getting on the stage?

True but due to a massive career he has still used one for what would otherwise be a lifetimes work for some bands. Everyone goes on about the stripped P basses yet to my mind I always think of him with the red 80s looking one with the covered pole pieces?

What sort of money are those czech-ease basses? they look really good!

Mini Clubman, 3/4 DB, Mackie PA, 1x12 Bass Combo, Electric bass in a hiscox case plus various bits and bobs including a hercules DB stand! More than some bands would in a whole career though, they just happened to have a good long career! Plus he used it on all their best tunes.

Jack socket connections dirty or not springing down hard onto the instrument cable plug, bad earth connection, loose connection on the PCB, dodgy pot (we've all had some!) Or a good old fashioned batt flattery!

Im not sure I'd call a 2x12 a mini rig? Looking at the absolute max outputs possible is pointless imo, I never need to run mine at full tilt so as long as there is spare head room and a tone you like I wouldn't get hung up on cone sizes unless its got a flake and raspberry sauce on top.

Oh and celebrity chef endorsed rolling pins have been purchased for many years!

People lap up anything Adam Clayton puts his squiggle on regardless of how little he uses a similar model for so to own the actual bass makes more sense to me, as for playing and the tone of it it's unlikely any of these basses get played ever again

Yes but you are comparing good 4x10s (pairs of 2x10s) to my good 2x12, something that is ok but at the cheaper end of the 2x10 market wont match a top end 2x12.
