Have a go with Hatfield And The North. I find (for example) Soft Machine a bit too barmy. Hatfield are post-Caravan whimsy-prog, but just onside from the madness of Soft Machine. Yep, used them loads. Very handy when switching between guitars of different output levels in the same set. In my Genesis tribute band days I had three on the go: one for bass, one for guitar, one for bass pedals. [/quote] I've not been to Denmark St for a few weeks, but last time the Bass Cellar had moved to the basement of Rockers, over the road - apparently there were fears at the time that the construction of the new Crossrail station at Tottenham Court Road would affect the north side of Denmark St, so there was a panic move.
