I think both of those are thought of as far better than Test For Echo which seems to draw a lot of negative comments. I continue to be a little confused at to why Clockwork Angels gets panned as badly as it does. I quite like it. None of the above are their best in my opinion. I listened to both A Farewell to Kings and Hemispheres just yesterday. They take some beating.

No mate. Tony retired from his job and moved to Wiltshire. There was talk of trying to keep the band going, but it was just trying to postpone the inevitable really. I continued to feel that there is huge hole in my musical life without it, but no band lasts forever.

I think it’s next weekend that may be more of an issue. I have one on Saturday 17/9 and have asked the band leader to contact the venue. No response as of yet.

Love that album, but for me, it still falls short in the immense shadow of BSSM.

When I read the thread title, ‘Tonight’ came to mind immediately. In fact, I did an interview on radio a couple of years ago, when ChangesTwoBowie was still a going concern, defending the album. The problem is that it’s up against some really stiff competition from the rest of Bowie’s oeuvre. As much as I like it, would I say it’s his best work? I don’t think I can, but it’s definitely nowhere near as bad as some would have us believe.

At the rate they shift basses, they may well not be there by then, but you’re doing the right thing by not diving in unless you’re sure. I’m a firm believer in that the right bass will come along at the right time given patience. I hope you find what you’re looking for.

Never been there, but I’ve admired their small selection of Fender CS basses online over the years. They always seem to have some really nice examples. I guess they must spec them to their desire knowing they’ll sell eventually. Nice to know they’re good guys 👍

Admittedly my experience was UK to USA, but it was anything but easy. If it wasn’t for the manufacturer stepping in (Alembic) we’d never have got it sorted.

Having had a recent nightmare experience with UPS in the thread below, I’ll guess this is almost certainly to do with commodity codes i.e. lack of information provided by the seller as to what the neck is made of. Anyone know of the whole gig video has popped up anywhere yet? From what I’d seen, it’s supposed to on Pluto TV as of today, but I can’t find it on there. Someone mentioned it might be on Paramount+, which I don’t need or want, but I might get for a month if it’s on there.

Had a bit of a discussion about that on the way out of the Stadium. I think it worked the way he did it. If it it had finished on My Hero I think there might have been an expectation for encores, but ending with the solo version of Everlong, it was quite clear that the gig was done.
