  1. Ah, maybe it was the tuners you mentioned somewhere. It looks lovely. Enjoy 👍
  2. I seem to remember that the specs are slightly different to a standard CS Sig? Or am I thinking about someone else’s bass?
  3. Can’t play Blitzkrieg Bop on a Van Gogh though 😂
  4. 🤢🤮 - stale cigarette smoke smelling items. One of my least favourite things ever.
  5. I agree. I get a little nervous when I have something decent for sale on there, but for the most part, after 1000's of transactions, I've had very few serious issues. Less than 10 I would say. My feedback is getting up towards the 2000 mark, but because of the complete apathy of 95% of buyers, my feedback doesn't reflect the amount of transactions I've had. I have 42 items awaiting feedback at the moment and I'll be surprised if more than a couple bother.
  6. Did she pay via Paypal? Their help pages state 180 days to raise a dispute. I wonder if that's what confused me?
  7. I just flippin' searched for that and couldn't find it 😂. Well done mate. Mine was just under 30 days. Far too long in my opinion and even then and it didn't come to anything fortunately. Looks like @Old Horse Murphy can tell her to do one - officially.
  8. I don't think that's right mate. I have items in my purchase history that still have the 'return' tab available. My oldest one is from 21/4/20. I think it may well be 60 days.
  9. I'm not an eBay expert, but it may not be as plain sailing as it would seem from your point of view. I won't bore you with the details, but I had a similar experience recently (+ve feedback received and then a message of complaint after some time - slightly less than yours). I spoke to eBay in person and they indicated that if the buyer were to take it further and demand a refund that they would probably get it as 'item not as described'. I was not a happy bunny. As it turned out, the seller didn't take it further, partly due to my insistence that the defect was caused by them. I managed a small victory with eBay with the agreement that if the buyer did take it further and they refunded them that ebay would then also refund me as a gesture of good will (I was seething during my initial phone call). This was a fairly low cost item though and eBay wanted to keep everyone happy. I can't see them going that far for the price of a sax though. I really hope it doesn't end badly for you. We all know you're a decent chap and you certainly don't deserve this crap.
  10. Thanks. I've had a few Stingrays and this is a cracker. I haven't shared this with anyone yet, so you're the first to hear it outside the band, but this is what it sounds like recorded.
  11. The Sledge is a seriously sexy bass. Slab body and mine is fitted with flats. It usually goes out as a back up to 'Marilyn'. I say back-up; I usually always end up playing it anyway cos it's just so nice.
  12. I made my own which I use in my Bowie Tribute.
  13. Likewise. Glad it was found. That's pretty $h1tty behaviour by Eurosender and has tainted my view of them (finally @Beedster 😉). Fortunately I have no plans to buy or sell at the moment.
  14. Well, I hope you win the lottery or something so you can achieve your dream bass 🤞
  15. I may be wrong, but to the best of my knowledge, Jens doesn't have a price list posted on his site. I've had a couple of exchanges with him and Christophe and it seems you can pretty much order any of the Ritter bass models with whatever spec you care to dream up. Some of the Royal Family basses have gemstones and/or precious metals set into them, so you could easily spend above anything that has been mentioned here already. I also had a conversation with Mica at Alembic a couple of years ago around ordering a Spyder bass. The quote was over $20k; $4k of that was for the silver spider web inlays. I managed to pick one up second hand a couple of months ago for considerably less. Given that it has hardly been out of it's case, I'm glad I held off. Regarding Fodera. Some people like them, some people don't, but for me the Monarch is almost my perfect bass. I've had a few and they have all been outstanding.
  16. I think there might be enough of Dee Dee’s DNA splattered all over that Precision to conjure up a clone or two. I’m sure it will make someone very happy, but I’ll pass on that one 🤢. Safest place for everyone is putting it in a sealed display case in a Hard Rock somewhere. I would suggest the Sharm Al Sheikh one of it still exists. A $h1T hole of epic proportions.
  17. Yes, they were my thoughts too, however, I have the other three boxes, so I figured I may as well get this one too. They are very well put together and I’m looking forward to listening to the vinyl when I get my new turntable. I’m not sure if PW waves is my absolute fave, but it’s right up there.
  18. I would be interested to hear from @kjm regarding the loss of his guitar. How they handle this claim will have a significant bearing on their reputation here.
  19. You seem to be operating under the principle that there is a courier out there somewhere that will deliver 100% of the time without issue. I think we both know that’s not true, however frustrating that may be. I’m not advocating this service, I merely providing information about my experiences thus far so people can make an informed choice. That means reading about the bad as well as the good. I think that’s how it should be.
  20. Just in case there is anyone else who may be interested, the 40th Anniversary boxed set of Permanent Waves has been released.
  21. Rush have released a new video for The Spirit of Radio which is tributed to Neil. Nicely done I thought.
