  1. That would mean taking the whole lot off to change/check the battery thought wouldn't it?
  2. Top job @AndyTravis 👏👏👏👏
  3. I believe it’s a Thunder IIA. Same as mine except I have a P/P set of pick-up’s instead of P/J. Cracking basses these. I made my first studio recording on one of these in 1986 and it sounded great. It was my #1 bass for quite a while and I still have it today. GLWTS 👍
  4. I’m so pleased this has a P neck on it.
  5. Yes, indeed. There are ‘in stock’ basses on his web site that are ‘custom’ models. For them to be able to argue that any combination of options offered in the configurator are not what they normally do is stretching it.
  6. Like it. Is that the fuchsia sparkle?
  7. Gingerburst anyone? https://www.andertons.co.uk/bass-dept/bass-guitars/music-man-bfr-stingray-5-bass-guitar-in-gingerburst
  8. I've haven't taken delivery of the Lakland yet! 😂
  9. Not at all mate.... https://www.andertons.co.uk/gruvgear-fretwrap-string-muters-1pk-black-medium-gg-fw1bk-md?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=surfaces&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIp_7DqO7e6gIVGLLtCh3c-AepEAkYASABEgL_zfD_BwE
  10. Send a few to Scott Devine = great advertising 👍
  11. Basschat fret wraps?
  12. Oh yeah baby! Fab idea. I’m in 👍
  13. I've just noticed Public Peace has a couple of new Jerzy Drozd basses for sale. Now everyone knows he is the best luthier in the world 🙄. Maybe PP are taking PR tips from JD 😂.
  14. Is he cheap though? Just looking at the in stock Elwood's. They bounce between €1160 and around €1500. You can get a Sandberg California TT passive for the same money. I know which way I would go. Slightly off topic and slightly irrational I know, but the 'From Player to Player' thing on the headstock has always seemed a bit naff to me. I believe there are examples without it, may even be an option to not have it for all I know, but it's put me off buying used ones that do bear that phrase. (apologies to anyone who has one - it's just not for me).
  15. It’s this one.... http://www.fendercustomshop.com/series/artist/dusty-hill-signature-precision-bass-maple-fingerboard-nocaster-blonde/
  16. It’s not yellow, it’s gold and there are only 50 of them.
  17. My Dusty Hill P has one, but it came like that 😀
  18. Yes, you would have thought. I’ll keep you posted.
  19. Nope, not there. It would have been on July 3rd, after the numpty who put 1 star and before @AndyTravis. I’ll be sending them an e-mail.
  20. Great post @Old Horse Murphy. That’s basically what forced me to knuckle down with 5’ers some years ago. For me, it’s not something I could dabble with as I always found myself having an excuse to go back to the 4’s. With the 80’s band there was no way around it, well not one that I wanted to pursue anyway. That said, there are a few 80’s songs I still like to play on a 4, but they’re few and far between. Congrats on the basses, they look awesome. I have a Special 4. It had a few set up issues, but now I’ve sorted that out, it’s a real cracker. Sounds like you’ve really lucked out with the weight as well. I think that’s similar to my Special, albeit mine is a HH.
  21. There was a gorgeous Carl Thompson for sale here a few years ago. Still kicking myself I didn’t jump in when I had the chance. Unfortunately, the seller has now removed the photo’s from the thread, but it was a stunner, to my eyes at least.
  22. Before I do send them a rocket @ped, can you check whether my review has been removed. I can’t check from here.
  23. I’ll challenge it with them and see how far I get.
  24. Here you go, at 10min 40sec....
