+1... Consider how much they get shaken around when you're playing a low B through them :-)

Obviously hewn from a single piece of Rosewood... I've emailed him to confirm that this is the case but have not heard back yet :-) I did say I was very interested and wanted the model number and serial number as well :-)

Maybe worth asking someone who lives/works close to the venue to help out... Someone with ears on the desk is always useful...

Hi, This keeps loosening itself and creating hum on the input side.. Simplest thing would be to replace it with the same component from Ashdown (a fiver) but is there a better 1/4" solution that would fit? Cheers Mark

I think the argument (common in hifi/AV circles) is that although the assembly is much the same, the QA process and component (from batch) selection are likely to be done with a little more focus in Europe/USA..

I'm trying to work out why they say it would improve the sound... I suspect they might say it provides a more stable power source than a bettery.. I remain to be convinced :-)
