Sure, Solihull is no problem.. This would be a cash transaction only (unless you've got a Dingwall Z3 stashed away somewhere :-) ) Cheers Mark
heya i would be intrested in this, would you be able to meet in birmingham / solihull as its too far for me to travel? also would you consider a part exhange for an acoustic ibanez EWB or a rickenbacker copy?
-

Yup.. My SR765 is MIJ for instance... Made in the Fujigen factory where a lot of the Japanese Fenders were made.... So it's possible to get an Ibanez from the same factory as some of the best Fenders ever made were :-)
Cort make a massive quantity of Ibanez branded stuff and I think Samick made or make some of them. I know that Ibanez have their own place in Japan for the high end instruments.
Don't forget efficiency as an issue as well.. For me the Barefaced Super 12 looks like a great sweetspot in terms of what you would need.. It's efficient (102db/1W/1m) has a small footprint, 4 ohms, is a 2x12 and it only 40 lbs in weight... 3 db extra efficiency is the same as doubling your amp output.. And they're sort of British :-) http://barefacedbass.com/index.php?page=super-twelve

Back in the 80's both of these 1) Flash powder explosion taking all the power out in a venue... We strode out. giant collective power chord, flash, then farting amps dieing slowly in the dark.. 2) Our keyboard player sitting on top of a Sound City Valve amp when it literally exploded under him.. Laugh, I nearly wet myself :-)

Perhaps that's why he wants to go and live on a remote scottish island? :-) although won't his high heels get caught in the mud? :-)

+1 If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Mark
You'll get 225 watts into each of your 2 8 ohm cabs, but you won't because you'll never play that loud. You'll get a great sound out of your current cabs and won't run any risk of damaging their speakers. You could look for better cabs but you don't need to. The other options are plain crazy.
Very nice, :-) although I reckon it will look better when your new Dingwall arrives... Cheers Mark
That there, ladies & gents is my dream rig
Not available from the ART web site, so I thought I would place it up here...

Is the interference from the power supply or the wireless? If it's from the wireless, changing the channel might help (assuming it's not 802.11N)...
It's an arcane term which originates from the era when ivory was widely used in musical instrument construction & finishing - for example piano keys, nuts & bridge saddles on stringed instruments - and of course frets. At the time animal gut was used to manufacture strings so wear was not an issue, hence frets made from ivory - Jumbo Frets.* *
This may be a lie.
Jon.
You could always try Tuxguitar - it's opensource and reads/writes GP files...

As a bass salesman would you ignore people as they came into your shop - preferring to facebook on the computer instead? I suppose you would if you hated money and people? (not you specifically of course).. Mark
I've not contributed to this thread before, but as a bass salesman, is this shop as bad as it's really made out?
I was in there yesterday on a trip up to London.. Staff completely dis-interested, some poor noob with his parents trying to decide what rig to get for his yet to be formed function band and no-one trying to help.. very very poor... Mark
Sadly, Chris Bryant (on the corner of Charing Cross Road) has now stopped selling basses. He used to do a decent selection of the better low-price stuff ... MIM Fenders and Westfields, all new of course. Seems the competition was too great, and the margins too tight. For bass, Wunjo's is definitely the best bet in Denmark Street, trailed by a distance by Macari's. The only other shop I'd recommend in the whole street is The PA Centre.
It does, strangely enough.... :-) Almost as though this was the one they liked most :-) Although I'm sure it was the one closest to hand :-) Mark
My Shuker T-bass is in the Shuker gallery. It makes you weirdly proud doesn't it.
