1. I think the difference is that in Europe they get a pretty good rate to other european countries including the UK whereas we get scr**ed as it's seen as somewhere strange... Also they get better weight bands as well.. For instance the Post office have to deliver 30 KG packages from Europe, whereas they appear to have a 15KG limit for UK packages... Why not get the folks in europe to arrange the courier to pick up from you?
 2.
Because I'm worth it....
3. Just a couple of general questions that might help this along 1. Does it come with a case..? 2. How were you looking to ship/deliver it? Cheers Mark
 4. Is not the master volume knob an "Amp Attenuator" in this context?
 5. Alex, You should be finishing my S12T not gabbing on here Cheers Mark
 6. Just tried my RH450 into a nominal 2 ohms (2 x EBS Proline 410) .. Apart from my daughter slamming shut every door in the house, no obvious negative effects...
 7. The manual for the RH450 states something along these lines... "If you use loads of 2 ohms or less at very high volumes over a long period of time the heat protection circuitry will cut in and shut the amp down"..

 9. If it worries you so much you post twice, perhaps you should buy it?
Why has no one bought this Ken Smith BT5? I would have thought something this rare and high quality would have sold easily. I know the damage must have put people off but these repairs are common and usually very succesful. Any ideas, comments?
11. For me. no "on the floor" effects... Just a dash of Tubetone and Spectracomp as required... Mark
Apology accepted. I hope not to have offended anyone as this is not my intention. I really don't like distortion on a bass guitar. So what. I have no problem with others playing with HairyMuffs et al. Its hard to post on here without upsetting someone - feel like i need to run everything through the BC PC filter if i had one. I think the thread has been great and i have learnt a lot (that i am a dinosaur) and realised that there are some effects out there that i might like to try.
15. Does not the Hartke have a 6.2 A fuse in the sled next to the IEC input? If so, the rating of the power lead fuse should be irrelevant. If the power lead fuse is blowing but the sled fuse is not, I would suspect you've got either a 5A or 3A fuse in the power leads you're using... Mark
I recently sold an old amp and accidently gave away my only power lead with it. I bought what i thought was a similar one off ebay (kettle lead style). It only lasted a few goes before the fuse went (i think) as its a sealed socket it got binned. My old man had a spare power lead from a PC that looked the same, so tried that and the same thing happened. Question is, what power lead should i be using for a HA5500?
16. +1... (although I'm one of the converted) ..
And I think this is it, in a very neat nutshell.
19. I just bought a pair of Active pa speakers from Thomann.. One managed to get damaged in transit, Thomann were pretty good about organising a pickup and the replacement is on it's way to me...
 20. That's even better then ..:-) And i've not lost a day... :-)
But today is Tuesday
