1. Typing "Ibanez Bass Serial Numbers" into google provides this link Ibanez Serial Sometimes trying the obvious for yourself is a good idea...

3. You open a case with ebay 4 days after sales completed.. They then wait a bit for the buyer (not) to respond, then you close the case and they credit you the fees... The bit to remember is that you have to close the case....
4. Have you thought about using a LED headband torch? Poundland have them in at the moment for, you guessed it, a pound...
5. It's very handsome... Industrial looking as well..
6. I use a "Heavy Duty" Tiger amp stand for my Ashdown Mag300 Combo - works fine and cost about £20 off evilbay.. Works a treat.. It can be adjusted for height/stability...
7. I've downloaded it... Cheers Mark
8. You could contact Ashdown and ask them... They're pretty responsive... Try Guy Morrel at [email protected] Cheers Mark
When I pack away my Ashdown Little Giant after a rehearsal/practice , i rekon I could fry an egg on the bottom of it , the top and sides are relatively cool , ive put stick-on feet to lift the chassis for more ventilation but still hot , is this common with the likes of markbass and Genz Benz as well ? , Ive never noticed the fan coming on and I dont drive it hard either .
9. Are you doing the gig at Fat Lil's ? I was thinking of coming along anyway - if I do would my MAG300 combo be of any use? I can probably dig out an extension cab as well to give you 2x15.. Cheers Mark
I know this is well cheeky, but if you dont ask.... I'm in a right fix. Ive got 2 gigs in the next 2 weeks, and my Trace head has packed up. Went to Guitar gallery in headington and their amp repairer is away until december. Tried Nobby from music box, and he cant turn it around in time (to be honest, I wasnt all that pleased with the last time they 'fixed' it). I've asked the other members of the band, and my other band too for a loan but noone has one. I could even get away with using my practice amp if it had a DI, but im not that lucky. Does anyone in Oxford or the surrounding area have a head I could borrow? You'd be more than welcome to have my Trace 4x10 cab as a retainer (I have 2, but dont need the volume for either gig so am only taking one), you could even take my second guitar too if you like, free tickets to the gigs if you want them, and my assurance that it wont be pushed (stage noise only, DI'd through PA for power) and my eternal 'I owe you one' if youre ever stuck for a rig... Gigs are this sat (13th) in Witney and the one after (23rd) in Oxford. I'll collect and deliver same day. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!
10. Agreed - £130-£140 is the going rate for these...
11. Alex, Thanks for this... How did you guess that sensitivity had swung me towards the Super Twelve T's ? :-) Cheers Mark
12. If you promise me right now you're a good Blues Brothers tribute act I'll come along on Saturday :-) And I'll bring some friends as well.. :-) Cheers Mark

18. This may be of use.. Circle But as other folk have said here it's a really important concept in "Westerm" music and it's a great exercise for getting yourself familiar with every corner of your instrument...

21. Intensely annoying.. Warwick used to do this , thankfully they've stopped... Thunderfunk do it as well...
22. Not directly appropriate, but I use an adjustable amp stand for my MAG 300/15 combo which I optionally stand on a chunk of Dynafoam (energy absorbing foam we use in glider seat cushions to alleviate back injuries from heavy landings)... I suspect this is a poor mans version of the Auralex solution.. It's amazing how much you can change the tone with various combinations of the above...
23. Hi, Forum rules require you to state a price unless it's purely for Trade which it sounds like it isn't Cheers Mark
Hey, Im going to sell this little beauty to put money towards and upgrade. Bought in 2007, its the mini but mighty Ashdown Superfly 500w head with the matching 2x8 and 1x15 speaker cabs. to save me doing all the hard work, heres ashdowns own right-up on it.... http://www.ashdownmusic.com/bass/detail.asp?ID=156 I know that its technically a 2x250w head, but the rig for sale will put out the full 500w as its going into 2 4ohm cabs giving you maximum output. The entire rig is pretty much in as new condition, the head has an ashdown padded carry case, and I have 2 speakon to jack leads plus the standard kettle lead to throw in aswell. I think its worth saying that this little rig has had a 10 string monster bass from bee basses going through it with absolutely no worries, she can handle low F# to high C and sings all the way! The only place i can find a NEW 1x15 superfly cab in here... http://www.nuloop.com/en/instruments/item/...gle_products_uk And its priced at £656, so hey, get in! These cabs are very very good quality, i know theres some ashdown haters out there, but this rig is a great set-up and i love it, but i need more! I will consider part ex for various other bass amps, but cash is preferrer, im in essex and send me your offers! Russ.
