1. Take a look at the Yamaha mox series..
 2.
this is so true
+1.... However would be interesting to know a) what style of music your new band plays what sort of bass you have and c) what the new band wants you to play through..
 3. Great colour and a great price. This won't be here long... glwts

 5.
True a waste of money if you ask me.
You could bring along a UPS - however I suspect this might offset the lightweight Class D loveliness :-)

 7. Drop an email to Sandberg - the body shape has changed over the years I believe.. they respond pretty quickly.. I have a VM5 - neck is slightly thicker in profile than my lakland bg5
 8. If the amp you're looking at puts out 450W into 4 Ohms, it will probably only output 300W into an 8 Ohm load anyway.. Check the specs of the amp in question..
 9.
Surely you take spare basses so as your wife is not left at home looking at all the basses that you said you needed.
This 😁
 10.
Mallet finger - ouch!! I bet that stopped you playing for a while if it was your middle finger?? Did it fully heal? I know that it can be a very long process.
It was awkward but I usually play with three fingers so I managed to cope
 11.
Would this be a good buy? http://www.ebay.co.u...725.m3641.l6368
These are bulletproof - 1200W RMS into 4 Ohms bridged... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QSC-PLX1202-Power-Amplifier-/132232541012

It's a budget amp - specs suggest it's bridged output is 600W into 8 Ohms (2 x 500W into 4 ohms stereo) Might suit you very well within these parameters - they're quite well liked from what I have read...
 13. A few years ago I was playing keys in a band where the bass player plugged his 1x15 into the return socket on the amp. The other cab was connected correctly.. The 1x15 acted as a microphone, fedback and blew the cones in his 410 and well as the amp going pop.. It happened really fast ...
 14. Make sure the output voltage of your trace can drive the input stage of the power amp you choose.. power amps tend to need 1.5v and a lot of preamp outputs are less than 0.8v which means you don't get the full monty from the amp
 15.
Sorry to hear that a Mark, hope it works itself out.
Hi Paul. Hows the back ? It's not too bad - only hurts when I lift more than about 5kg
 16. Yup. Jerry Barnes is a pleasure to watch..
 17. Thanks for all the advice/experiences... Appreciated...
 18. After years of trouble free service I've had a set of hand/arm problems over the past year or so that I've been able to work around but it is slightly worrying 1. Mallet fracture of my right middle finger 2. Trigger thumb in my left hand 3. Problems with my left hand little finger (very sore) Luckily these have mostly got better - however I've just been diagnosed with Tennis elbow in my right arm and am having a steroid shot in early July.. Anyone else been through this, and any hints on how to cope?
 19.
I've come unstuck ( matron ? ) when trying to cross gravel car parks to pubs with hard wheel trolleys The best type for any ground are balloon type wheels, as they just float across rather than try and bury themselves. Bastards
Anything with wheelbarrow type wheels works well on soft/gravel surfaces.. although I like the look of the balloon tyred trolley .

 22. The alto stuff has great price/performance.... I use either a TS210 or TS212 depending on which band I'm playing with.. Both are pretty good.
 23. Brilliant :-) all becomes clear 😀

 25.
I had no idea there were restrictions on sending magnetic materials. I looked it up when I got home and the rule is 'Magnetised material: Magnetised material with a magnetic field strength of 0.418A/m or more at a distance of 4.6m from the outside of the package is prohibited' I' m guessing the pickups are no where near strong enough to be banned, but I don't where to start with measuring magnetism or what equipment you'd need to do it.
