      Right. And it's also a tune where it's very easy to go off the reservation pretty quickly if you don't really know what you are doing!

      Is this linked to the BTB805MS that you've just ordered? I didn't realize Ibanez were doing a bass/cat promo at the moment. Are other animals available i.e. goldfish with a 5 string prestige?

    Flightradar is so cool. I've just watched some in-flight refuelling taking place over the North Sea.

      So can you see military aircraft and actual see what they are doing? Nothing secret of course but fascinating to be able to observe some of the air activity

    Just seeing a friend is having to let go of a lot of his basses - possibly the single biggest collection of ACGs to go up for sale too. Would be good to see them go to good homes so keep your eyes on Bass Direct.

    Whilst cleaning my teeth this morning with an electric toothbrush I found I could do a passable facsimilie of 'Livin On A Prayer'.  I may have dribbled toothpasty spit down my front but consider it a small price to pay.

      After years of never having had to play LOP I now have to cover it in two bands. In both cases we have discussed how best to approach the 'talk box' type vocal part. You sir, would appear to have solved our problem and simultaneously added an unexpected minty fresh bonus. A trip down to Boots awaits methinks. The forum and two East Anglian cover bands thank you.

    One of my students has an awesome sounding Jazz bass. I don't actually own a Jazz bass. Now I need a Jazz bass.

    Given that the tracking doesn't seem to work... how long should a Thomann order take?

      In my experience they're usually pretty good. My last one was a Sire P5 in early December last year, think it took around 3 working days - super quick.

       

      Their customer service has always been good too. Might be worth pinging them if you have opportunity

      Yeah I saw your review, ended up with the amber variant. Really nice basses for the money I would say. I was really keen to stick with 34 scale which is why I didn't go for the 5 string as I think that's a 35 er.

      Clear pickguard is a mystery to me, that had to go straight away!
