2. Obviously, you are not married... I cannot spend GBP100 without my wife noticing...
3. Think of it as having a fancy thumb rest, that occasionally can provide some sub-lows. You'll be fine !
4. In 10-20 years, he will be as good as Adam Clayton. Me think.
5.
Does the cat do this.....................?
Yes, but on bass guitar, which is 10 times harder
6.
but when I have my choice of amp and string met with snorts of derision by them (seriously), I can't help but take it personally.
hmmm, let me guess... You play black nylon tapewound on a North Korean custom-made valve amp.
7.
There's a cat??!! In a bass shop?? I'm booking my train tickets to London straight away!
Yes, there's a cat. The ultimate diversion for wives... hehe
8. The Gallery is the best bass shop in London. I can go there and try beautiful gear. The atmosphere has always been very friendly without being pestered. And the bonus is that I can bring my wife and she will play with the cat (and forget how much money I spend ... hehe)
9.
There was a Torque Bass amp at my old uni... that thing made everything sound crap
Hmmm, good old Torque 100 W, 15"? Yup, this was made everything sound like s***
10. My bass is a "she" because I slap her. I also call her my "hoe" because she likes being slapped by her mac-daddy pimp.
11.
Another great bassist sharing knowledge is a person you can also find on this forum. His name is Scott Devine and he runs scottsbasslessons.com. Also highly recommended!
Scott Devine is my personal favourite. Great guy!
12. I echo other comments already made... drop the diet coke. Seriously, aspartame is a poison. The rest is fine.
13. I don't like music shop playing as I find the basses typically unplayable: 1) mega-high action 2) bass out of tune 3) heavy gauge strings (I like lights!). So many times I picked a bass in a store and it felt completely wrong compared to the way I keep my basses set up.
14. - Bongos - Burns - Rickenbackers
15. Looks like the guy has a birth mark on his face. It should be easy to find him.
16.
But doing that would do away with everything that made Hamer such superb instruments - they'd just become another range of fender mass produced questionable quality sh*t.
Not all Fenders are mass-produced. They have some custom options that are pretty good. I believe they could have kept the Hamer brand under the custom builds.
17. I find it strange that they are not able to sustain a small on-demand production line for Hamer. Fender have got all the tools and materials to build whatever guitar they want. They are big enough so that they can centralize all support functions. If the Hamer guitars are built in the Fender factory, it's pretty much about applying a different decal at the end of the process. They could keep the brand running without throwing money down the drain, provided they showed restrain on marketing, artist relations, etc... shame really.
18. Is this some sort of new "Google Translate" service?
19. *** INFLATION ALERT *** GBP 2,000 for an Ibanez? It's like paying GBP 20/kg for sirloin steak, when it used to be GBP 15/kg a year ago.
20. She's a very sexy lady. I really dig the minimalist look. If it sounds as good as it looks, you have a winner here (and a keeper!!!).
