  1. Wow! Bump for your playing and your bass's fruity tone
  2. What a lovely bass. Really understated but with so many features. Plus you don't have to worry about dinging it (too much). If I wasn't committed elsewhere, I'd bag this for this great price.
  3. Good example. I've got one of them too but mine is more... 'abused'.
  4. I'd love to come to see him. Thanks for event. Work allowing, I'll be there. Visog
  5. > I have no idea how to measure it, drop me a PM please on how to do it and I'll drop a tape on it. It's just the nut to bridge distance, i.e. the speaking length of the string. (Shorter scales have less tension but may sacrifice the fundamental. Opposite for long scale lengths but you sacrifice playability. Note a Dingwall attempts to do it all on the one fretboard. Not played one so I'm not sure how it works out....) visog
  6. Good looking... What's the scale length? 34" or 35" visog
  7. Wow - that's some action! The strings are virtually lying on the fretboard!
  8. Eurosteve, Is it bolt-on or neck-through? visog
  9. >There are a few knots of wood on the burl top that have been filed and are noticable on close inspection. What on earth do you mean? (This bass would have been flawless leaving the makers.) Also, does it have ramp by any chance? Visog
  10. So if this is too narrow and a Yam's too wide - exactly what string spacing are you after? BTW what is the string spacing on the Carvin? visog
  11. Hi, What's the scale length? And whereabouts is the bass? Ta
  12. That's quite a bass! I take it from the $ price you and the bass are in the States?
  13. Senmen, Whereabouts in Germany? Also what are the controls on that? And does it balance OK when sitting/standing? Some Alembics are neck heavy hence some of the new shapes they've introduced. visog
  14. > I certainly remembering owning that combination of basses that you mention about 8-10 years ago... or maybe longer! Sorry perhaps you're right - time flies > Did you have an Ampeg combo at the time? Actually a Randall combo > In fact whilst moving house recently I found a pic of the bass that you may have bought, do you still have it? Yes I do and it gets an annual airing at a local music school show I do. It gets admiring glances and the odd "how much do you want for it?" > it had a bit of flame to it for an early Streamer. See photo
  15. Think I bought a bass from you some years ago - a nice sister fretted streamer to the ones shown. Played the fretless in the picture and at the time you had a Fortress with that massive weighted bridge as well as a Thumb. You like your Warwicks! Anyway good seller - highly recommended.
  16. Not sure I agree - the whole point of a community is to apply their collective wisdom to help others. And the fact of the matter is that this ding'ed second hand bass is only £33 pounds cheaper than the very first price new I got from the Internet. Should we stand by and not say anything?
