2. Am in the process of reducing our volume. Better placement of monitors, take stuff OUT of the PA, and TURN THE F**K DOWN. We just did a gig in a 500-capable town hall, and we kept it way below previous pub volumes. Sounded great, no hearing stress for anyone. Next: persuade the drummer to use hot rods in small venues so he still welly everything without killing eardrums... EDIT: new side project is a bluesy trio. Guitarist has a new Blues Junior. Quite capable of being loud, but being 15W sets a limit...also, drummer has more than one setting!
3. Less times than I've been out on the town with Joanna Lumley.
4. Welcome Josie, and good on you for doing exactly what you want!
5.
I'm guessing it doesn't to many people, which is why there are so many P basses around .
I play Precisions because they ARE the good looking ones!
6. First gig of the Rock n Roll Outlaws second life. Good gig, but fsr too loud. Even with ear plugs, there were moments of physical disorientation. Hot, sweaty, everything a rocking pub gig should be. And there was sufficient interest that it had to be ticketed to limit numbers! So, nicely remunerative also. Result!
7. ^ This...
8. Aargh, Lee, what?
9. Mine was fine. However, this subject is also dependent on what strings you use
10. Mildly hot pub gig Friday, better social club gig last night, but very hot, sweaty, and successful! Both dep gigs.
11. This week, my first ever serious problem with a courier (that I booked ). And it was Interparcel/UPS. Never had the slightest problem before. Had arranged to swap cabs with a guy in Doncaster. UPS up there missed the collection but managed it next day. My collection was fine. His cab turned up here, as expected, one day late. Mine was delivered to and signed for at a similar sounding address...in Grimsby. God knows how this is going to resolve, but I'll probably end up returning his cab and getting an insurance payout. Rats. What's wrong with UPS in Yorkshire?
12. I bought a Std EBS for my 425, it fitted perfectly.
13. Jus, we have identical daydreams! EB2-D, silverface Bassman 50, 2x15 cab. My dream 'living room' rig.
14. Oddly, they do nothing for me at all. The only such bass I've ever wanted was the EB2-D or the Epiphone Rivoli equivalent...
15. I'd be after this. The only Gibson bass I'd live with. http://www.ebay.co.u...cYAAOSwQupXUK6w
16. Another vote for the BB414, although I have to add that I've never played any Ibanez basses...
