  2. The Vester Chow Mein was infinitely better, IMO.
  3. Weightshaming, seriously?! Come on man, it's 2025!! 😊
  4. Just crunched the first 256 songs. The average year is 1983 (so far) The band with the most is Queen with 13, followed by Black Sabbath with 8 and AC/DC with 8 Rob
  5. I went to Snoop Dogg gig in Nottingham just before the smoking ban. That was like stepping inside a bong. No way did anyone leave that venue unaffected by at least passive intake.
  6. What can I say about this pedal that hasn't already been said? Super cool and unique filter used by Flea and lots of other people. No other filter I've come across sounds quite like this little green beast, and it also does the famous "dub trick" of turning your bass into a subby monster by turning off the sensitivity so the filter doesn't open. It's been well used in it's ~30 year lifetime with a few bumps and scrapes in the finish, but all is working as it should. Somehow the notoriously "difficult to keep hold of" battery door is still intact on this one! No velcro, and rear sticker with serial number still intact also. Really cool pedal that I owned a number of years ago, and wanted to revisit it out of nostalgia! I've had my fun with it here at home, and now it's time to pass it on. Boss to 3.5mm power adaptor included. Looking for exactly what I paid for it from here a few weeks ago: £60. Add a £5er for delivery, or can be picked up from Ickenham NW London.
  7. Yeah, I might as well wish to see the Beatles, really.
  8. Just a post in praise of the TI JR. Obv, not to your taste, and that is cool. But if anyone out there likes a nice, compliant string that is a bit (tiny bit) rubbery/bendy, then this is the set you are seeking.
  9. Still available please?
  10. Japan 2006 4,3 kg Older pre, 2 band with push-pull. Original case.
  11. True american legend. All maple, 1992, 4,8kg. Has a Q filter. Resonates and sustains for days.

  12. I don’t have any particular issues apart from the humidity/weather changing things. I think with the advice given here I’m getting to grips with it. Thanks everybody.

It might be worth getting the acoustic treatment done before you consider spending serious money on new speakers.
  15. I bought it from a guy who bought it new and never used it. Where are you based?
  16. really interested in this ill message u
  17. GAS is a a terrible thing. So there I was all content after a really good year, then boom and 'must have ' bass punched a mighty hole in the budget. So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Here is my surf green SB-2. Without question a bass out on its own, spicy MFD pickups (with their trademark adjustable pole pieces), Twin volume control which on other SB-2s i have found to be really easy to dial in a volume/tone needed. That said the modder in me has purchased the dual concentric knobs ready for a stacked volume tone per pickup (like the early Jazz basses). I can throw those in. This hasnt been gigged (one jam session tho..) so is 10/10 perfect. Vinyl wrapped black plate (easily removed if needed..plain black underneath). I know i'll regret letting this go, they are going to be a cult classic imho. This was bought literally a week before G & L went out of business, so one of the last out the door. Fully set up with EB slinkies set on all fressh and ready to go. I can arrange shipping at buyers expense insured (or uninsured at buyers risk).

So, my two latest acquisitions need new homes. They are brand effectively and we all know the G & L story so this is it, want a new one?, you wont find any better. Check out my other listing for my SB-2 or take a look at this... Anywho. 3 TSB Jazz bass, the G & L version, spicier pickups than your average J type bass in this price range. Beautifully finished and in 10/10 condition. Vinyl wrapped plate easily removed . I have been after a nice example of this since seeing Ritchie Kotzens 'riot'. I finally pulled the trigger on this new one in the early summer and very pleased i am too or was until i fell for 'another' way more expensive J beast. As with the SB-2 i'd love to keep it but needs must. I love the bridges on these bad boys. Fully set up with fresh EB slinkies. Can ship at buyer expense, pickup from Rochester or exchange somewhere near to the M25.

  22. Surely it's only a matter of time before Gibson start giving their bass back catalogue the same Custom Shop/Murphy Labs treatment that they seem to be focusing on with their guitar range. Of course if it does happen it won't be cheap.
