Yes indeedy Neeps, easily the best thing to come out of Aberdeen since Denis Law. Well done that man.

Very interested in this too. The Nordstrand is a great upgrade for the Japanese pup, especially if you want more definition. The JMJ has a custom Mustang pup, wasn't this done by Seymour Duncan? It's a very P-bassy sounding pup, a bit more body than the Mustang. As far as I am aware. @DanDoesBass tell us more! 😊

I've got one of their C24's (picked up second hand) and an X24 crossover and they are both great, Grant is very responsive to questions on instagram message too. He recently advised about running the X24 at 18V to match my drive pedal headroom at 18V, not understanding tech all that well, it was very much appreciated.

Knobs. Eh? Heeheehee. I don't often find myself admiring a knob but those look good.

So, this topic has caused me to venture into the workshop and sift through my stash of valves. It's resulted in the Bassman getting a bit of TLC, and a few new valves. However, I have also realised that I have more valves than I will ever need in my lifetime (what remains of it), some of which I've hoarded for decades. I'm going to start selling some off, and have put a few on Reverb already. Mods - if the following link is not allowed, please let me know, and I'll remove it and try to create an ad here in the Accessories section. Discount available for Basschatters. Also feel free to ask if you're looking for anything in particular, I also have a lot of pre-amp valves which I'm wading through now. https://reverb.com/uk/shop/robs-house-3 Rob

I like to buy this kind faulty kit and repair it. It's part of the fun. I've had Ashdown amps, did a bit of fixing and they sound great. It's also good because it can put back into circulation otherwise decent kit. -
Coming up soon, 1st public Weeds gig in at least 9 years. We're actually thinking of having a rehearsal! Exciting support bands too, and limited capacity...

Origin and history of drink drink(v.) Old English drincan "to swallow water or other fluid," also "to swallow up, engulf" (class III strong verb; past tense dranc, past participle druncen), from Proto-Germanic *drenkanan (source also of Old Saxon drinkan, Old Frisian drinka, Dutch drinken, Old High German trinkan, German trinken, Old Norse drekka, Gothic drigkan "to drink"), which is of uncertain origin or connections, perhaps from a root meaning "to draw." Most Indo-European words for this trace to PIE *po(i)- (source of Greek pino, Latin biber, Irish ibim, Old Church Slavonic piti, Russian pit'; see imbibe). Figurative meaning "take in through the senses" is from late 12c. Especially "to imbibe spiritous liquors" from mid-15c. To drink to "salute in drinking" is by mid-13c. To drink like a fish is recorded from 1744. To drink (someone) under the table "continue drinking and remain (comparatively) sober after others have passed out" is by 1909. drink(n.) "beverage," often especially "alcoholic beverage," late Old English drinc, drync, from drink (v.). Meaning "as much of any liquid as is or may be taken at a time" is from c. 1300.

"ect" instead of "etc". Whatever happened to basic literacy. Oh yes, and confusing "ie" and "eg" - I assumed that somebody knew what they meant in a spec once and that led to some wasted time. -

Different online dictionaries have differing opinions on that - dictionary.com and thefreedictionary.com say it also means absorb, as does Merriam-Webster <spit>, the Cambridge dictionary and Collins both just give putting liquid in your mouth and swallowing it as the meaning. So fretboards can drink oil in the USA but not in the UK (or EU). -
How was Your rehearsal last morning or night ?

Is there any scope for you to steer the sound? As a spotty teen I was roped into an indie band and ended up pushing us towards a more groove oriented sound which really pushed us forward (I was kicked out a year later and replaced by a guitarist who was given a bass) 😂 -
