Yamaha BB735a go for between 650 and 1100 same exact everything. Make this make sense? One thing that's a positive is that high end "heavy" cabinets are cheap, while lightweight cabs are at a premium. The sound is not as good I own 6 bass set ups and my lightweight Rumble 500 and Ampeg Porta 500 will never sound as good as my heavy stuff. I hought a Henry 8x8 for under $300.

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1238010064525230/ As an electric bass player for over 50yrs, I've never been down the DB route. Obviously, I haven't got a clue but nothing ventured, nothing gained. I've done research on these but as always, everyone has differing opinions. There are a couple of rockabilly guys around here who could possibly try it out for me, it's only 25 miles away. I'm sure the price is negotiable, lots of variables I guess. Is it worth a punt ? Cheers Ian

I bought my first bass amp with cash made by stuffing stamped addressed envelopes (kids, ask your parents) with *** slimming section's diets, so I won't have a word said against that very fine publication. On topic, I have a number in my head where it becomes not worth selling and I would rather keep it, but generally I want it gone and am prepared to take quite a big hit on most stuff. There's only Fartbook here in Mexico, really, and I have been dealing with so many tyre kickers with bass stuff and bike stuff I have been trying to move on before we up sticks again. I price stuff below market rate and clearly list prices etc. and all you get is people asking the price and if you will drop it to them half way across the city for free or take staggered payments. It's soul destroying but if that happens at a fair price I can sort of understand why people try to put a slice on top to cover the aggro.

I've just got back in from seeing SatchVai Band in Wolverhampton. Two words... Kenny Aronoff. I've seen him a couple of times before but I swear he keeps getting better. He can do it all. It was like like 2 hours of some guitar blokes and Marco Mendoza keeping Kenny company while he wiped the floor with 99.99% of other drummers. And he's 72 and as fit as a butcher's dog. The people I went with said that the guitar playing was decent but then again, I wouldn't have thought Kenny would have played with anybody shoddy for a minute π

Tell that to ICE Power. The general rule is no free lunch, ever. I surmise 2 ohm operation costs something significant.

This rogered me when the forum changed over. I was directed look to the left of the thread topic, there is a star, or a dot if you read it and didn't comment previously. I am not "following" anything either. If I "follow", the email gets chocka with notices. -

I joined my local gym. Not something I EVER thought I'd do, but my doc gave me a choice of meds or NHS part-funded gym membership. The strange thing was after a few weeks I started to really enjoy it and missed it if I couldn't work out for a few days. Nothing too strenuous - treadmill, cycle machine, and some weights and there's big TVs to watch so the time goes quickly. My formal exercise goals include "carrying my bass amp" The NHS bit was quite important for me - I have a special coach who went through my medical history and designed a suitable programme and keeps tabs on my progress. -

That's one of the reasons I got an exercise bike. It's virtually no impact unlike running and a lot of other fitness activities. My exercise bike can connect to my tablet via Bluetooth and I run a free virtual cycling app which makes it much more interesting. No gym fees either π -

Anything I comment on gets followed by default. I can't see a way to change that.
