  1. Past hour
  2. Never installed, bought a while back for a project that didn’t get completed. pickup measures 95mm long. price includes UK postage
  3. The design Gibson should have gone for in the first place. The quality of Jon's work is justly renowned- someone is going to get a bargain at this price. GLWTS.
  4. Infection appears to have spread from bassic.de 😃
  5. Are we talking Asda price here? Or Waitrose? 🤣
  6. Great video! I really enjoyed that. Quite a trip down memory lane - although I just caught the tail end of the 80s, it was the 80s bass mindset that characterised the way I thought about gear for a long time. Glad to see lots of Vigiers in your video.
  7. 3 x Radial Pro DIs for sale. One shows some signs of wear (£65), the other two are basically as new (£75 each) £5 postage for 1, 2 or all 3
  8. Chocolate Milkshake - Psycore
  9. It doesn't make you mad..maybe just a big Vigier bass fan/obsessive..like me!! 😂😄👍
  10. Brand new, never used. These are German-made and have a great reputation as a Music Man upgrade. The makers claim a very warm bass and low-mid response, accentuated mids and a bright percussive top end, i.e. Stingray clank, whether in active or passive mode. I was thinking of using it in my (passive) SBMM Joe Dart, but decided in the end to stick with the OEM pickup (not least because it's white and matches the rest of the hardware - a case of style over substance, perhaps, but there you go!). These are £99 from Bass Direct and often more elsewhere, so I think £75 posted is a fair price. If you can collect from Mapperley in Nottingham, I'll knock a fiver off and provide tea and biscuits. Can't say fairer than that! installation_guide.pdf
  11. gimme chocolate - babymetal
  12. Not sure. At least 5 years but kept in a dry bag and look perfect.
  13. The guitarist in our band, who is very musical - plays keyboards and it's either flute or sax - said he tried bass once and couldn't get his head around it. I said he must be joking, it's the easiest instrument to blag you're way through. If it wasn't, I wouldn't be playing it 😄
  14. I love my MXR bass envelope filter blackout edition
  15. Check the amplifier settings in the settings. You have output levels there which influence the master volume. I leave my master volume on max and use the amp output setting on my clean patch to get the right level. Same goes for compressor and effects.
  16. I just bought a Katana GO Headphone jack from Amazon. Using it for the first time today. I connected a cheap old pair of Earbuds. The sound was horrible, peaking & cutting out. I thought they clearly can’t take Bass. So I tried a pair of Sennheiser HD570 Headphones. The volume is significantly lower (bit too low), like the GO is struggling to drive them and again, signs of crackling & cutting out. So I connected the Bass to my Roland Cube20 & tried both Earphones. Both loud & clear! No comparison. I’ve noticed the screen on the GO is blank with a dot moving round the edge. Is that how it should be? I absolutely love the idea of this thing. Silent practice while streaming music & video lessons, I wish I’d had this 20 years ago!!! But if I can’t sort this sound, it will have to go back ☹️ Thanks
  17. Today
  18. I'm open to offers on this...
  19. Uuuuffffff. I can’t believe I missed this back in the day. I missed it when Beedster bought it from someone, I think. It would look lush hanging next to my black one.
  20. WOW!!!!! That’s an in depth response! 😂 I think I may have bought a faulty Katana GO 😳
  21. Owned from new for around 12yrs, I bought this from Thomann and had it set up for Rockabilly. It definitely feels a step up from the entry level basses and I have used it live a lot. Most of its life has been more of feature in my living room though. The last couple of years I have been coming to terms with the fact that I need to sell it. Space is at a premium, it rarely gets used and I am of an age where the EUB seems the easier option. The specs are here Thomann link if anyone is interested. I added a pickup which has been useful - a David Gage Realist. People often call it a copper head. They’re industry standard and normally about £120 used. Mine is included with the bass at no extra cost to you. There is a tatty (by my high standards) gig bag and the strings are currently Gut-A-Like vintage ones Gut A Like strings You’ll see I added a few stickers. These should be fairly easy to remove. I’m happy to do it, or I can leave it. Equally I am happy to add more pictures. It’s currently lent against the wall in my place in Hungerford, where I am Sunday to Thursday evenings. Postage looks too hard to do so it would be a collection. I have gotten it in a Peugeot 107 before - not comfortably, so perhaps don’t bring the family if collecting!

  22. These are great and I am only selling as I just upgraded to the BCB-90x. It’s set up with the daisy chain all in place. You just need to add your pedals and patch cables. Cut for six Boss sized pedals. Price includes UK postage. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. PayPal or bank transfer preferred.
  23. I’m a big fan of Boss pedals and have just re-done my board. I went a bit mad recently and have a fair few that are surplus to my requirements. All are boxed (initially the OC3 was listed as unboxed but I have since found the box) and only the super overdrive has Velcro on the bottom. I would grade these as at least 9/10 in terms of condition. Prices include UK postage. Boss Octave OC3 - £85 Boss Tuner TU3 - £70 Boss Super Chorus CH1 - £75 Boss Super Overdrive - £60 Boss Bass Overdrive - £80 I looked around online and believe these are priced to sell. Check my feedback thread and buy with confidence. PayPal or balance transfer preferred.

  24. Above and beyond tech support and first class service from James. Another reason why this Basschat community is so valuable to us all. Thank you. Much appreciated.
  25. Here’s a very good condition T-Rex “The Fuel Tank” Chameleon. A great piece of kit that hasn’t seen much action. Loads of leads including a doubler lead that gives you 18v from 2x9v outputs and this Fuel Tank gives 12volt options too. IEC lead included (not pictured).
  26. Thanks and this was my first thought. Unfortunately, the wire is old (the bass is a '75) and the snap appears pretty clean. There's a little bit of protrusion from the exit hole into the cavity but not really enough for me to be able to remove the shielding. I'll take a couple of images and post this evening. Maybe somebody with high level soldering skills and a lot of patience and the right knowledge/tools would be able to effect a solder-based repair. My soldering skills aren't bad but getting to the original wire may be beyond me. The lack of natural light in Manchester isn't really helping either. I'll attempt to get some good shots later today and post in the hope that somebody can suggest a technique/approach that might aid in circumnavigating any more extreme options. Thanks again to all, the advice is much appreciated!
