  2. I bagged the last one from Thomann - ordered early hours of Saturday morning - and it arrives tomorrow, just in time for the weekend's shows. I'm trying to be cool about it but, well, y'know...
  3. Hey Roger, I would have to investigate what prepaid duty options are available with the courier given the tariff situation.
  4. I'm keen to check one of these out, for sure, but I wish you'd asked ME what features to include as then this otherwise perfect looking amp would have at least one 9 volt output on the back to power a tuner ( or other) pedal. That's got to be a good, useful and relatively cheap feature, surely? I don't want you to feel too bad about it, though; I've been playing for 50 years, owned scores of amps and only just thought of it myself... Next time, maybe...
  5. Nine Inch Rails, the well-known model railway company.
  6. No, it wasn't me. I didn't need the cab either, and I think I want to try one first. It's not like I'm short of amps at the moment, there are six here right now, although one of them is sick.
  7. I forgot to mention the other potential failure mode, in case anything similar happens again - plugging the receiver into the bass and the transmitter into the amp tends also to produce silence.
  8. Where do you have the master volume control set?

  10. Here we have a lovely late-model (Status stopped graphite production in 2022) 2020 Status-Graphite S2-Classic 5-string through neck bass in A1 condition, finished in Transparent Aqua Blue Sunburst over a two-piece body with flamed maple top and faux binding. This bass has the latest 18v Status Board 303 preamp circuit with the usual cut/boost controls for Treble/Mid/Bass and a three-way micro switch for Mid Cut/Flat/Boost. You are welcome to view and try this bass by appointment either in Derbyshire (10 mins from M1 J25), or in Ashton-under-Lyne in the Manchester area, whichever is most convenient. Price is £3095. Interesting trades towards cost will be considered. Buyer to collect, or can meet half way, up to 100 miles from DE7 (200 miles total distance.)

  11. I just mean the price will be dramatically different whichever it is.
  12. Gigged one the other day! Shame that they’re not getting as much use and love as deserved 😖
  13. Genuinely think this should be in a player’s tonal chain. Took out on a Jazz/Funk gig and it was smooth as butter!! Almost has me changing my mind…..just too much a luxury with the other stuff that I own and use!!
  14. *PRICE INCLUDES UK POSTAGE * Wicked pedal! Tracks beautifully. Only selling as I’m now using multi-effect unit. In great condition (I may even have original box…can’t find at the moment m). Does an octave below and/or above. Also has an independent boost effect. Blurb here: Octavius tri-tone generator has 4 controls LO OCT, HIGH OCT, MASTER MIX and BOOST. LO OCT knob lets you set the volume of the lower octave signal produced by the pedal. HIGH OCT knob controls the volume of the higher octave signal produced by the pedal. The balance between the levels of these 2 knobs is what creates your particular octave-divided sound. Experiment with your mix, and you’ll be amazed at the variety of effects you’ll get. MASTER MIX knob lets you set the overall volume of your low and high octaves compared to your direct signal. Use the BOOST knob to control the output of your octave-divided sound. The boost function lets you dial in a solo level, whether the overdrive circuit is activated or not.

  16. Not really. It's 33.25" (standard 4*** series models) as opposed to 34" on most Fender basses. So it's longer than what most would consider medium scale (32") but slightly shorter than the standard long scale. Short scale is usually 30"-31"...Fender, Gibson, Guild, Hagstrom and most of the usual SS offerings fit within this bracket.
  17. I don't see an applicator ... only the cleaning fluid?
  18. That's interesting... especially as their highly rated ones seem to be poor at blocking higher frequencies and the lower rated are poor at blocking low frequencies. This may give a more 'hifi' sound but it's the upper register that does the most damage so for on stage protection might some top end attenuation may be preferable at the expense of fidelity?
  19. No idea. Doesn't really matter to me either way.
  20. Are these a Canadian bass or an import MIC bass?
  21. That’s made me consider grabbing one again ha. If they add more scenes with midi, defo worth a look again!
  22. A headless 5 might be in my future then, depending on what they cost.
  23. As new still sealed in packs, 3 sets available £10.50 per set including postage. I have been trying various brands of strings on a number of basses, whilst these are very nice I'm going to Dunlop's for my fretted Warwick. To my ears the Eden's seem similar to Rotosounds, maybe not quite as 'zingy' initially.

Convenient auto-switching jacks let you integrate with any pedal chain, with support for mono, mono-to-stereo, and stereo-to-stereo operation. And by plugging into the B input only, the BOSS RV6 outputs a 100-percent wet sound, great for working with more complex rigs that employ parallel processing chains and mixers. There’s also a jack for connecting an optional expression pedal, allowing you to control the effect level in real time as you play.
