Looking for a 5u Shallow rack SKB style case

I was hoping that might not be the case, though I suspect you are right. I will go for lightweight 6 if I have to. -
Asllan Pizzatto started following G string with old string sound
-
Good evening, friends. Here's the thing: I bought a set of Rotosounds SH77s a few months ago. I took it to my luthier, he put the strings on, and right away I noticed that the G string had an "old string" sound, completely dull. Well, I asked the dealer here in my country for a replacement string and they gave me a brand new set. My luthier put them on, and when I got home, the G string was dull again... Now I'd like to know what could be happening. I tried taking the string off and putting it back on, and I didn't see any difference. Maybe my problem is with the Badass Bass bridge or the tuning machines. Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? I've read elsewhere that it's a problem that can happen with Fenders... By the way, my bass is a Japanese Fender Steve Harris.

I’ve just played with it tonight and hooked it up with my focusrite via xlr. I quite like what I hear on the settings I’ve dialled in. It sounds amazing just before breakup and that’s how I set it up. I noticed when I engage my Octabvre and Doom, it kinda sounds a bit rounded? Probably the cabsim. It’s not bad. It pairs well with the Empress whether it’s light or heavy compression, I quite like it. The Capo is more versatile but I found it easier to dial a nice vintage tubey tone with the Bassrig. I have a love and hate relationship with the Capo’s B channel. Sometimes i love it but sometimes I feel it’s underwhelming. Spent the night playing around. I found it easy to dial my go-to tones. I like the Noble here than the Stomp. The Kaamos Octaver sounds ace and it tracks so well. Envelope Filter and Moogerfooger sounds organic and waaay better than the Stomp filters. Very easy to navigate and work with. Only thing I’m missing is a good sounding synth brassmaster type fuzz. I can’t get the duality to sound the way I like. Also a 1176 style compressor would be good! Hyper luminal is meh for me but it is workable and useable. It’s a good purchase for me and I’m glad I did.

Yes, we were lucky. Getting a slot at Summerfest is all about politics and who you know. Daryl

Can any users confirm the actual power requirements? Listed is 2A, but then the HX Stomp lists 2/3A, can't remember which. Considering a board rearrange to move from a Stomp XL to an Anagram, but I'd like to know how much more of the board will need to be rearranged to accommodate it.

I’ve been a session and touring bassist for almost 50 years, most recently with the Motown group The Miracles. Pedals are fun to play around with but take a lot of time to learn how to dial them in, especially if you play live. Most top session players don’t use them much if at all. I do have some pedals manufacturers have given me but they are mostly wall decor. I do have an Ampeg SCR DI I use in ampless situations. A compressor pedal is pretty useless to me as I’m always working with pro sound guys who are taking care of that live or in the studio. I have had effects added to tracks I played on after the fact but otherwise I like my bass to sound like a bass and so do most of the people who will hire you. I’ve yet to meet a bassist who was hired because of his or her effects.

Hey Pete - I’m playing at this festival tomorrow too with The Alligators, also in the blues tent. Think we may be on just before you - if so come and say hi? Cheers, Pete.

Raising cash so up for sale is IMHO one of the finest tracking octavers available for bass. It has two distinct octave voices a Growl which replicates the toothy synth tone of an OC2 and a Girth which is smooth and deep like an EBS octabass/octamizer. You can get subtle variations from mixing the two. It also has a switchable mid boost/cut on the clean tone which can be adjusted internally, very handy. Usual small MXR enclosure with fantastic build quality. Its in great condition and a beautiful deep blue sparkle. No box, but will be well packed. (Note- the A sticker will be removed and cleaned, ive a two channel setup and kept mixing them up 🤣) £85 posted to UK only

Gutted as I got rung up before my swimming lesson... cancelled due to a kid gaving an 'accident'. 💩 Rung up again a bit later as I'd booked lane swimming for afterwards. -

Just needs a Mudbucker at the bottom of the neck and it'll be perfect! 🤔

Who cares? Great opportunity!

Pretty much what I said I think? I suggested the piece was in C minor before the half step modulation to C# after the bridge. GPT is saying what I said in the verses and chorus of two bars of C then a bar of F followed by a bar of Ab and G. F Minor pentatonic as you suggested doesn't sound right? 🙂 I only got as far as the chorus before the bridge as I was waiting to hear from the OP before going any further.

True, And you can run into some of the stars when we catch the shuttle Vans to the stage. Daryl

Pete, Sounds like it should be pretty cool. And I'll take a few hundred in the crowd any day. And the line up from 1970 is just the headliners. Daryl

It's always fun to be part of these big events, even if you're not on the main stage.

Fortunately, the only time I've ever used Preparation H was to put on a new tattoo years ago! Summerfest looks like a great event - shame we don't really have anything similar this side of the pond. The bike rally I'm playing (the Farmyard Party) is one of the biggest ones in the north of England, not quite as big as Stormin' The Castle in the North East, but still about 6,000 people on site. They have a blues tent (stage) for the old school bikers who still like their blues - will probably have a few hundred people or so in there. Maybe a 2,000 for the main stage (that I last played about 8 years ago with a rock band).
-
Thanks Dave, It should be good. We've been playing Summerfest every year since 2009. However for the last 3 years we were relegated to what I call low profile kiddie stages. This is the first time in 3 years where we're back on a respectable and proper stage. Daryl

Gracious me - that's extremely helpful. Can I just check the Intro; Chordify is suggesting Cm - Bbm - Fm - Ab/Bb. How does that look to you, please?
-
It seems you’ve already have friends who play DB. Always worth getting some lessons to start you off. It’s a completely different (and hugely rewarding) instrument to play. Dont cause yourself any damage. Love to hear how you get on.

Dave, Not rock & roll ? When I fell and broke my ankle a few weeks back a tube of Preparation H ( hemorrhoid cream ) fell out of my front pocket. Daryl

This. Only I use 40-120 gauge strings. I never dig in and never feel the need to.
