  2. Yes it's a NAMM 2026 release. Andertons have one as per below link: https://www.andertons.co.uk/ibanez-btb805ms-fnl-5-string-multi-scale-bass-guitar-florid-natural-low-gloss/ Ibanez definitely could do with more exciting finishes like this in my opinion.
  3. I'm not sure to be honest, is there any way you can measure them? It looks like they are the larger 1/2" size, but I could be wrong
  4. It’s not replacing anything, it’s changing how you go about doing something. Speeding up the process.
  5. Highly rated compressor pedal. Used it a few times then decided a compressor wasn’t for me. Collect from Leighton Buzzard or will happily post at buyers expense.

  6. Ever fancied playing really low notes on double bass? This is the cheapest way to try it and be able to get back to pitch safely and efficiently. Works really well with a metal E string. I have now got a bass with a low C extension so it’s been gathering dust for a while. Still got the box, instructions and everything. Very easy to fit yourself. Will post at buyers expense.
  7. It’s been sitting in a box since the 90s. I put this on my old Fender Precision for a while before realising the original bridge worked better despite being very crusty. I’m sure it’ll work well on someone else’s bass though… Will post at buyers expense.

  8. I think this is an old Gear for Music case that they ship new instruments in. I bought it some years ago for £30 to put a bass on a truck for a tour. It has more than served its purpose and has taken up a corner of the house for too long now. It lost a handle along the way but is still functional. Please help me get some space back! (it wouldn’t let me put zero pounds)

  9. Would be a great bass for someone starting out on upright or a spare for any working pro
  10. Mittel gauge with extended E/C. Fantastic orchestral strings but not the ones for me. Came on a bass I bought and I took them straight off. Don’t think they had been used much so should have plenty of life. Good condition with no damage.
  11. Hi All, For my current build i would like to use magnets for the cavity cover. I would like to use 4 magnets. Does anyone know what would be a good size and strenght of the magnets to hold the cover but also not too hard to get is off? Any experiences with this? Thanks! Ron
  12. That's basically replacing a key requirement of what it means to be a musician. Although it will be interesting if it can do that in real time with other musicians and then improvise.
  13. I don’t think it’s something I’d get unless it glows like this
  14. Yes, I do. I like it very much. Not sure which MS model it is though. An 805 in natural florid gloss perhaps ?
  15. Don't let the door hit you on the way out...
  16. Personally I would try it with no input but clearly on that video, the noise spike was hitting all channels, where the zoom was only plugged into one, so I would very much doubt it was related. I wouldn't have it plugged in as it could be putting noise on the mains.
  17. Thanks for all the great suggestions everybody. For someone as out-of-touch as me it really is invaluable. I just want something faff-free to practise with when I can't access my preamp and pedals that I plug into my pc via an interface as my main rig at home. I really know very little about with the digital side of music technology and how it applies to bass. This is the first time I've heard anything about NAM profiles ect, but I think it could be really useful to learn more. I'm doing some investigating this afternoon, but the Sonicake Pocketmaster is so cheap I'm very tempted to give it a go.
  18. Well it has a higher intelligence than me, thats for sure. 🤣
  19. - 🙂 ah I was hoping not to go in that direction. Yes I agree the UK has been intentionally culturally modified etc. That wasn't what I was thinking about though, maybe think in terms of north-south divide. So imagine being in a band where there's someone from the industrial north, south of England, South Wales and Brum. All four will have grown up in very different surroundings, very different schools. Also think of different era. A person growing up in the 1970s will have a very different social upbringing than a person from the 1990s. Imagine then a band with those four very different mind-set or in my term, culture, I'm sure it will produce it's own vibe.
  20. So you forgo the convenience of solid state amplifiers to get the tone of a valve, and then replace the valve with a really expensive solid state valve emulator, giving you the win win of Solid state sound processing combined with Valve inconvenience
  21. I don't think thats technically AI. Its just an analysis tool in the software. A lot of things are getting called AI in the marketing nonsense when they're not.
  22. I sent the Katana Go back to Amazon, I'm afraid. Thanks anyway, though.
  23. There’s good advice and experience above, I don’t think it’s enough, others do, you won’t know unless you try 👍
  24. A Fair shout ... but at this this price point ... your weekend warrior has more options than ever ... this combo amp is the price of a shitbox car , but it feels to me that they could have liked to have seen a version of their "500" or " 750" head not a 300 model. Hopefully we see some people with the claws on A/B it against a like priced seperate setup.
