  1. Past hour
  2. It's EASY! I have one ready to ship right now (the very one from the demo video), you tell me your address, pay me, and I'll send it to you! 😁 I have tested it for days and days, works perfectly!
  3. It's actually got one 😁 it used to be higher. I will edit this into the description, good point.
  4. Good point. Low frequencies are omni-directional and more likely to be structure borne, meaning sound insulation has little to no effect on them. That's why you always hear mainly bass when your neighbour has a party.
  5. Thanks everyone. I noticed that nobody mentioned Orange amps. Are they not as highly regarded as the brands mentioned so far?
  6. Please post photos that have your username shown next to the bass. We are trying to help you (Apple translation). Hear, hear!
  7. For me I like terrace style backing vox and them to be loud, which given I do punk/Oi it`s pretty much a requirement, whereas some singers say that bvs should be a supplementary sound and remain in the background. I think really the levels need to be set to accommodate the strength of the voices - some people who do bvs have a much stronger voice than the lead singer, so you have to keep them down further on levels. I suppose really what I`m trying to say is set by ear.
  8. Sadly, I don’t think Gregor - from his original post to the bundled-in boosting of his Fodera - quite understands the spirit of this forum. We’ve all tried to explain, but it’s not sinking in, unfortunately.
  9. Oooh, I don't know. Maybe they'll have to give up inflicting their horrible music on the world if they go deaf. Silver linings and all that.
  10. That's works with me, I'll send you a PM with the details.
  11. Beautiful bass!!
  12. Price dropped to £1950 🎸
  13. Updated pics to show: *Swapped the castors/wheels to slightly bigger but much better quality set. Easier to move without trolley. * Resprayed spk ‘mount’ face (from white to black) using high quality/tough product as the white paint was flaking a bit. This has improved the look and protection. Loaned recently a fellow bass player (who was in a spot) and he raved about the quality of this combo. Actually said it had ‘better’ tonal options than his beloved Mark bass separates🤫🤐🤷🏾‍♂️😎 Shamelessly bumped for more views…
  14. All unused, top quality sets. Double ball ends but possibly can be used for shorter basses. 37” length. (I could use the outer strings on my standard scale bass but would rather sell as sets). * Newtone 5 string sets x 6: Diamond Bass, hex core, stainless steel, 46-130, length 37” (ball end to ball end) with tapered B. £25 each (discount for multi purchase) ( I also have a Hot Wires 5 string flat wound set…pm me)

    Pedal(board) extras

Rockboard to modular patch bays, including wireless, midi, mains, and so-on. I have a MIDI one in a 19" rack unit (they do a 2-module 1U rack adapter). https://www.rockboard.de/en/mod-patchbays/

    Pedal(board) extras

The GigRig Cinco Cinco is a pedalboard patch bay. https://shop.thegigrig.com/products/cinco-cinco-patch-bay It's just 5 straight-through jack socket pairs and each is stereo. With one of these you can lay out your pedals as you please and don't have to have the first & last in the chain at the edges of the board. They're great with EBS flats, so you wire up the board permanently. I think they may be made by Bright Onion on occasion.
  17. ....that's easy for you to say.......
  18. Just from purely personal experience and anecdotal evidence, I can see how bands might be louder than they were, maybe even just 15-20 years ago. A lot of bands like ours used to use modest backline to fill the room and a modest PA for vocals only. Whilst many bands have embraced modelling with silent stages and IEMs, the PA systems required for this are beefier and include subs to handle the full band, including micing up drums in a pub!. Not to mention, technological advances have made powerful PA systems more affordable. Whilst it makes things more consistent and arguably better sounding, we're capable of going a lot louder than we used to, and louder than we should do. In all likelihood, it's the subs that are causing the noise complaints these days.
  19. I’ve had the 4 and 5 of these. Marvellous basses.
  20. Since developing arthritis in my fingers I’m playing a lot less and thus am moving on much of my bass playing kit, keeping just a few essentials. Up for sale are a few of what I would say are my higher end pedals. * Peterson StroboStomp Mini - £SOLD * Darkglass X7 Ultra - £250 * Darkglass Alpha Omicron - £115 All in excellent condition (note the AO has some scuffs on the under side). Prices include insured delivery inside the UK. The StroboStomp and X7 ultra have their original boxes, the AO does not. No trade offers please.
  21. Final price drop, now £1600
  22. It reminds me of some of the old Vox shapes, but it is fairly unique. Let's face it, we all buy as much with our eyes as our ears, and it looks cool.
  23. As a professional gear reviewer, I'd say brands are better than they used to be, but there have been times when even the manufacturer has gotten the specifications wrong. It's all too easy to cut and paste information on to a website without checking it these days that many (especially shops, online or physical) don't bother to check or sometimes don't even know what they are selling. A good way to spot lazy (and AI) review writing though ha ha.. That said, we're human, sometimes we make errors and for Sandberg they seem to be far and few between.
