  2. Bit of a saga with this one. So I had an issue I assume with the preamp as it worked fine in passive. No output with the bass and treble off and tinny noise with maxed Fair play to Thomann who shipped the bass back at their cost and returned it “fixed” So now it sounds and plays great. But…..if I max the bass in active mode there’s Distortion even if I back the gain right of on whatever I plug into. Not a massive problem as there is tons of bass before it happens. Are they all like this ? any ideas

  4. If anybody is coming to the Bass Bash this weekend and wants some rolls and doesn't have Prime, I can order some and bring them down with me. It's only available in Red but at £5 a roll, it's cheap as chips. I might order more today anyway. Rob

  13. I did my daily trawl of Richtone only to find it had already sold before I had chance to go and try it. It’s been on my list of stuff to try for a while.
  14. Ah! That might explain it. It's a very good deal if you do a lot of printing, however joining Amazon Prime isn't cheap. £5 a roll is excellent value. Sorry about that.

  18. No problem, this has an active BTS circuit and the battery is mounted under the control plate. It has bass & treble cut and boost on the preamp.
  19. Purchased from this forum 6 months ago for a specific project and is now surplus to requirements. it’s a great unit, loads of info online regarding these. No original box or carry bag (it came off a board) but does have its own generic power supply. Any questions, just ask. Cheers Steve
  20. You could possibly make use of your LDS cabs as they sit by adding a high pass filter into your amplifier. And / or, stuff one of the ports to raise the tuning.
  21. Is it your old pedal or one you were watching? So far with the ric at house volume it does definitely fatten up the sound and the Drive option does a bit of breakup when digging it. Look forward to trying it at rehearsal volume with both the P and the Ric

  23. How about borrowing inspiration from the guiding rails on CAM milling systems? Make one rail live and the other earth for the pickup connections using roller bearings and adapt the Seymore Duncan Triple shot system for your own pickup housing? That way you don't have to faff about with pickup switching via the rail system.
  24. On the train home from seeing Pino Palladino and Blake Mills. Sat within touching distance although on the wrong side of the stage so didn’t see anything from the front. Cracking gig if a little low on crowd interaction. Got lucky post gig and managed to grab a very brief chat and handshake with them both as they bolted into a taxi avoiding the crowd waiting out front. Massive hands! 😄 Fender Mustang? Pair of jazz pups and a bunch of switches. Rob Allen 4 & 5 string and a Godin acoustic guitar or some sort. Blake Mills had some interesting guitars too

  26. Agreed. I learned a few unspoken rules in my band years ago. Don't suggest ideas for new songs or any intros or arrangements. We might have rehearsed once in the last 5 years. I think some bands are not cut out for rehearsal. We gig enough, we have more than enough material and very in tune with each other musically. I truly believe it's why there are no band tensions,disagreements and the reason we've been together since 2007. Don't get me wrong. Overall rehearsals to me are a big part of being professional. It just doesn't work for this band. Daryl
