I loved the dwarf for the level of potential nerdiness, got some great bass tones out of it although it was the drives that I struggled with a little. Crazy ambitious project, glad to see that quite a bit of that lives on in the Anagram.

Loves an SR... a strip of masking tape along each edge can't be that arduous. I don't mind a lighter Rosewood, Pau Ferro etc - more woody than a dark fretboard - all the dark fretboards just look the same.

About the tube type or about the defeatable cab sim?

Royal Blues (originals Americana), at The West Hampstead Arts Club. It was either a bus ride for 3 stops from Kilburn, or a 10 minute walk. What Google maps didn't say is that the walk was uphill 😖 (and it started raining). We were a support band, second out of three. Soundcheck at 6, so of course we were soundchecking at 6:45 (Showtime 8:15, actually onstage nearer to 8:45). It's a small venue, 30 punters make the place look full, which was fortunate... The sound person was great, onstage balance was good, and FOH sounded good according to punters. The 2 new songs debuted at the previous gig were included and went down well. Ibanez UB804 -> Getaria wireless -> DI. Footwear - maroon creepers. This was the back of the stage. In front of the drummer and myself was the guitarist, lead vocalist, and 2 backing singers.

No experience here, but the Elites with the quilted tops look very nice. Ballpark used values look to be around £7-800 dependent on condition. If you're planning on moving it on, be prepared to significantly cut the price, as ESP basses, nicely made though they are, aren't hugely sought after.

After I bought a electric guitar and noticed my fingers kept touching multiple strings I remembered that I loved to play the bass in highschool so I bought a bass guitar and amp. This was the right choice because I absolutely love playing it! (If I have time because I am currently studying automotive engineering) I mainly play blues and rock. I play soul, blues and jazz so an aggressive tone is the opposite what I'm looking for but this bass works perfect for me. It gaves me a classic sound but a little bit separated. In terms of shape I think that the VM has the most beautiful modern P shape I ever met. The neck is a dream to play. You don't need anything else.

the player P is pretty nice for sure. I love the classic 50s MIM from around 2016. The main difference is qc and the pickups are typically not the best. Also a lot of the Mexican bodies have extra drill holes and mistakes under the pick guard and I have seen neck pockets with curious drill holes in them. Nothing that really affects anything and pickups are easy to swap. I was told by a fender rep that the Mexican plant is getting better and better at qc but is still behind the corona team. I may get a second p again just to have one with flats and it may be a player version or I’ll go hunt down a classic 50s again.
