Depending on genre, any physical format is viable, just make sure you have a quality digital option available too. Popularity of different formats varies a lot by country too. Vinyl is big in Europe.

I watched a fair bit, but it wasn’t a particularly engaging experience. JE was clearly a fab player (although I’ve never cared for much of his tone bar Live At Leeds), but doesn’t come across as particularly engaged or interested. It could be me - the band I heard on that live album I could never hear on any of their studio records (bar A Quick One)…leading me to a not particularly favourable opinion of The Who. Who By Numbers is ok, but for me, what followed was pretty shocking - odd good bits - but…..sorry fans! 🫣

Maybe. Maybe, but honestly can’t believe that any of them were. I think that in a live context but playing a very heavily rehearsed set they were a tight, and very competent band. I was more focused on tue bass player but he was outstanding as was the drummer. I was there with a friend who has been a session guitarist and works professionally as a gigging musician and neither of us thought anyone was miming. AND I had my glasses on! I really think that miming to that standard in front of a live audience would be harder than playing it live! -

Given his brief will have been “engage John in conversation about his life, career and collection to give us material for an interesting video” and all he got back was monosyllabic or single sentence answers, no wonder he was trying to inject some energy into proceedings and feed him with leading questions. Feel a bit sorry for him trying to drag any kind of response out of Entwistle. I’ve interviewed a few people like that and it’s hard work to get any useful material.

Up for grabs is a lovely G&L Fallout Bass Tribute - I took a while to find it when I bought it and they still seem to be quite rare. Understandable as it is a great bass. Plays great and sounds great. l am reluctantly selling this one as finding another could be quite a task but needs must. It’s a stunning metallic red model with maple neck version - short scale 30” but proportioned more like a full scale bass. It’s a good weight at 4.2kgs and well balanced. Plays well with nice low action set up, upgraded with Schaller tuners for rock solid, accurate tuning. Great sounding and highly versatile pickup with some great sound modes accessible via the selector switch. Some minor imperfections I have tried to highlight on the pics which are hardly noticeable. Can post in the UK only. Will come in a decent gig bag and posted in a guitar box. -
Yeah but I saw him with a full band. They were really good … the drummer did a helkuva solo. They were not miming.

Markbass Ninja cab - 2x12 - 600w. Amazing and powerful cab, in unmarked condition. These are now discontinued and very hard to source. Comes with a (used) Hot Covers cover. I think this one was the most damning. Just a total ding-dong as described by someone who it sounds like tried to work quite hard with him. Like, why would you do no promotion for a gig that's been setup for you; even a basic bar band will promote a basic bar gig. If you've got a following of millions on Insta, how difficult is it to say "hey, I'm playing at X&Y tonight, come down and see me"
