  1. Past hour
  2. The yellow one is £151 at the moment, a lot of bass for that money!
  3. Search for the brochure, it may be here. Shows lots of details of the models.
  4. I'll take a few pix and post 'em up!
  5. If a guitarist is playing with a capo at fret 3, a C turns into an Eb and an Em into a Gm. When I'm reading the chords over someone's shoulder because I not only don't know the song, I've never ever heard it in my life before, transposing on the fly for someone with my level of musical knowledge is rather difficult - not impossible when it's a few bars of one chord and a few bars of another, but when there's a rapid sequence of chords it all goes to pot. Not so hard when (to take two examples from yesterday) I'm thoroughly familiar with the song and just need to move my hand position, or when it's capo 1 or 2.
  6. For many reasons, yes. I also find smugness, paper thin faux 'man of the people' schtick and rich people being hypocrites irritating. But they are all rational, so they don't belong here.
  7. Would likely take an interesting swap for this. I was hoping to use the money towards a short scale ACG, but also in the market for a Jazz, preferably a Flea signature in pink if there's any going round. Send me a PM, always up for a chat!
  8. Off the hook - Rolling Stones
  9. Probably. Sorry the reason most people are either being vague or just recommending what they use is that we don't really have the information we need to properly answer your question. What's the situation? Band? Type of music? Volume requirements? Will this be going in to a pa (yours or supplied?) or backline? Do you also need some way of hearing yourself? Etc etc etc. Really the only thing you actually need is a DI box or something with an XLR output, and even that isn't actually necessary. Nothing to stop you just taking a normal guitar cable and plugging the bass straight into the mixer.
  10. Shure sm58, good used condition, no case. £40, £5 postage to mainland uk
  11. It could also be stolen goods ... 🤨
  12. Price drop now £115! Inspired by both new and old, the AfterLife has FOUR different internal analog circuits that provide 2 distortions and 2 fuzzes. Providing plenty of headroom and a ton of gain, these four selections will cover all the distorted ground you’ve got. While the outside boasts a lone Mode selection knob and a Volume control, there’s more under the hood to this one. Internal adjustable trimpots are available for all four modes, with parameters like overall Volume, Bias, Gain and Filter. The enclosure is 100% Solid Aircraft Aluminum Machined. The artwork on the front and back is laser-engraved, and each AfterLife pedal is 100% hand-wired and hand-built. Collect from Chesterfield or add £5 for UK postage. Cheers! Sam
  13. PRICE DROP NOW £220!!! Here’s my TC Electronic RH450 in used condition. Everything works perfectly - this is a proper workhorse of an amplifier, and small/light enough to use as a backup when gigging. Collect from Chesterfield (5 mins from M1 J29) or I can post for an additional £15. Cheers! Sam

  14. Price drop now £275!!! Fantastic lightweight cab in mint condish! Collect from Chesterfield (5 mins from M1 J29). Cheers!
  15. Here’s my 1990 green label CE-2, in great condition. It makes awesome chorus sounds, and will continue to do so far longer than any plug in (ooh, controversial! 😂). I’ll even post it within the UK for free! I must be mad! Cheers!
  16. For a multifx with amp & pedal emulations, usb audio interface for recording, DI box, tuner, looper and even drum patterns built in, a secondhand zoom B3 would fit the bill and hard to beat on cost. Although this model is a few years old, the sounds still stand up, and it is still the easiest multifx I have ever used.
  17. Returned to The New Inn in Buckingham last night. Not as busy as has been but still a reasonable amount of people who seemed to enjoy us. Landlord and Landlady were very complimentary. Our singer had a bit of an off night as she had had a tooth out the day before and was on some pretty strong medication. Will be back there next year.
  18. If this thing had block inlays I don't think I'd be able to resist for even a second... So close to my perfect bass! Will be keeping an eye on it for sure. GLWTS!
  19. 3 possible reason: 1. They stop gigging 2. They realized how practical multi effect units are 3. They are in separation from their partner and forgot the pedal board when they moved out 4. (Bonus) They realized tone is in the fingers 5. (Extra bonus) They grew up and started playing upright
  20. ***PRICE DROP NOW £1300*** 2010 US Stingray, 2EQ, CAR with rosewood board. One of the limited edition 133 basses, full fat ‘ray but with a soft gig bag case instead of a hard shell job. This is in excellent condition with one very minor ding on the top edge, and the pickguard is quite marked but obviously easily replaceable. Comes with a Hipshot D-tuner (long key though instead of short… doh), if you want the original tuner key I’ll chuck it in. I’ve also replaced the pickup with a Nordstrand MM4.2, which sounds flippin’ great. She’s quite heavy (10lb) but with a decent wide strap it feels ok. ***EDIT*** now comes with the option of a Warwick Rockbass semi-rigid case - photos added. Loathe to post this but can at buyer’s (insured) expense, or can meet in person at either Portsmouth, Southsea, Southampton or Lymington (I’m on the I.O.W.)

  21. Thing is, in even the best case, I'd only really want the board, power supply and maybe two thirds of the pedals, so it would have to be a pretty awesome price to make up for the faff of subsequently selling a few things. None of the prices I've seen so far make it worth it - £1000 goes a hell of a long way designing ones own board!
  22. It's to pay for the truss rod adjustment to be done properly.
  23. Would the following do the job? BDI 21, Overdrive and comp
  24. They need to pay you to do some YouTube content - Sheffield's version of IMA...
  25. Hey, I'm tempted by getting an old 80s Vigier 6 string electric, I think there were HH Arpege or HSS Passion. Has anyone played one before, was it a Kahler trem and what was it like to play and sound?!
