I just bought my ticket! :)
I'm doing total almost 400miles to be there... But I would do even more to see Vic. There's no chance I'll be seeing him when I'm back to Portugal!!

I just don't get how you guys got tickets in begining of March and there is still tickets available!! I would expect something like this to sold out in a couple of days!

Cheers!!
Looking forward to this!

Curious to see how DV are going to fit 200 people in too! :)
I'll be interested to see this, too. The store does have the upstairs part so maybe that's where it will take place.
Of course, the building itself was at one time the old Music Tek rehearsal studios (1st, 2nd, 3rd floors etc), complete with showcase area and bar, though I'm not sure if DV have the run of the whole building now.

I know I am becoming infamous for needling top-knacker bassists here... (here it comes)... but:

Who here is convinced that Vic Wooten cannot find better amplification than Hartke?

For the record my main head is a Hartke LH500 - I love having all that power and just a simple three-knob tone stack that makes nice noises. And my backup amp is a Hartke HA3500. So obviously I have no issues with Hartke gear (although I've never liked their speakers) but I find it curious that someone like Vic is endorsing Hartke.

So is Hartke gear the best in the world, or is he bringing us some other message (sponsored by Hartke), or does he simply like the amount of money Hartke are pritt-sticking to his forehead each time he says "Yeah, but"?

Yeah I know people have to make a living, but as much as I like my own Hartke gear and probably won't replace it, I find it difficult to imagine that Vic Wooten hasn't come across much better gear over the last ten years or so.

After he left Ampeg,Wooten used a different rig for each night of his subsequent tour, before settling on
the Hartke gear. I like and own Hartke amps, but I'm pretty sure he used better equipment on some gigs-
I know he used Bergantino cabs one night,I also think he tried the Aguilar stuff. I have recently heard that
Hartke are giving him a nice payment for using their amps, which is fair enough as he will sell them alot of
gear. But I'm guessing that one of the most important things for a player like Wooten is the tour support.
Hartke are obviously willing to supply him with amps all over the world, which makes life so much easier
when you travel as much as Victor does.

Yeah actually I bet when you're an act like Victor Wooten - with let's be fair has a niche audience but with high expectations - I guess if you can have a company guarantee you the rig you want everywhere you go, that is going to be a big deal for you.

I suppose it's hard to physically be Victor Wooten without having an endorsement with a multinational amp supplier.

Anyone driving down via Nottingham??

My good friend and lift has just pulled out. It was a 'I'll get the tickets, you drive' deal and now he can't go...

I can't afford the £55 return train journey, but if anyone is passing Notts I would be more than happy to throw them some petrol money.. And even a spare ticket if they have a mate they want to bring!!

PM me (pweeeese :))
