It's not an eBay link, but I spotted an Aria pro II ZZB (the pointy blue one!) going for £149 in Cash Converters, Dalry Road in Edinburgh this afternoon. I'm skint and not a pointy bass fan, but it could be a good find for someone.
Bit dear for me - but I'm half tempted to say I want it just to see if some miserable, weasel-faced scrote will jump in & grab it first. :)

Which reminds me - I must start that vintage Washburn thread in Porn...
That Vantage looks nice. Shame it isn't black...
They're jolly nice in natural.

I played at a friend's party recently, and one of the guitarists had the 6-skinny-string equivalent of this, which I had a little play on. He'd got it very well set up - it was possibly the easiest guitar to play I've ever encountered, incredibly low action. Looked really good too, no horrible black paint over that lovely wood... :)

Westone Thunder 1. The listing says "RARE". I note that by a stunning statistical coincidence, several other examples of this RARE model are listed on ebay.

Yes, I'm feeling a bit cranky today.

3m to go on this one. I presume given the price that this isn't Japanese made. But it does look kinda old.

Also the classic line: "only slight ageing due to the age of the item."

That's my old one, passed through Skank and tBBC. Another of my misadventures in JapCrappery

"Misadventure"? Is there something wrong with it?

Not it no. Something always seems to go a bit awry when I venture into the world of Eastern tosh.

That's BurritoBass off 'ere selling that, and yet again, I really should be on commission! As far as I can tell, that bass is very unlikely to be any later than 1972.

I need to be more careful about listings. I end up hedging my bets to avoid posting a 1980s MIJ only to find out it's 1990s MIK or something. But, then when I even slightly hedge my bets, it turns out to be a forumite. Anyhow, I'll apologise profusely to BurritoBass for even suggesting that the date of the bass could, in some alternate universe, be even slightly unsure.

Another one of those Lincoln basses. Yet again the seller thinks it's Matsumoku. With the case (look at that llining!), the BIN price seems a good deal to me.

Edit: Right down the bottom the seller links to the well known page in the Fernandes catalogue.

Good price and it looks in nice condition. Interesting, he's clearly done his research and therefore knows full well it's demonstrably not a Matsumoku. But he still can't resist the lure of bullsh!t. D'you think that's an Ebay thing? :)

Jon, Hi.

Got mine fixed up.
What a lovely tone!
A little bit of a diver but the sound makes up for it.
This would be a nice bass for someone looking for an
Old School sound.

May even be me, if I can't resist the temptation.

Perhaps a tad overpriced @£199? Though, postage is free and it has a "case". Doesn't say if it's a hard or soft case though.

The Lincoln bass is still there. Not that I'm going to buy it, but FlatEric, how does yours play?
I wouldn't claim to know. But, I'll take a guess. It's not original, but apart from the modifications is in good nick and it has a hard case. It seems that classic fretless basses sell for less than the fretted version. So my wild guess for the ending price will be £180 + the p&p.

We'll see how accurate my guess is. Mostly my guesses tend to be on the low side. Not always though.
Sold for £124. So much for my estimate of £180. With a hard case too! Jon may over-rule me :), but I'd prefer this Antoria to the fretless Maya being sold for £199 at the moment. But I think someone got a real bargain with the Antoria.

I think that Maya's well overpriced - wishful thinking really. JapCrap prices on Ebay have taken a bit of a hammering lately, Antoria particularly for some reason - I think a year or two ago that one would have fetched £180 easily.

After I gets me a Westone, I want something Fujigen made after that. Yes, that may be a very strange instrument acquisition strategy, but that's what you can get away with when it's a hobby rather than a profession :) Anyhow, Antoria looks a likely brand.

Another one here, but in the UK.

Apologies in advance if this has already been posted or if some-one was keeping quiet to avoid an inter-forum bidding war.
