MDC - Guns for Nicaragua - nothing complicated, just a nice line Nomeansno - Big Dick - bass and drums are sometimes the only necessary vehicles for a tune.. chardbass Posted January 24, 2010 Share Posted January 24, 2010 I'm going to go for the pop angle- I've mentioned it before on here but Kylie's Spinning Around has always been a big favourite of mine. It completely captures the Bernard Edwards vibe and isn't an easy line to reproduce feel-wise. Other faves back in the day that inspired me to sit up and listen were Duran Duran's Rio and the original bassline from the Fame theme (got me hooked from the first note) All 3 of the above are ALL about the bassline for me.
