1. I just ordered one of these. I'm very excited! I was thinking of getting a jaguar tremolo off ebay and putting it on the bass vi so it has the tremolo lock.
 2. D'addario strings and an EBS Multi-Comp have got me the desired tone on every instrument I own .

 5. Just a heads up but if you want to add a badass bridge and a bridge cover, the standard sized cover won't fit over a badass bridge. Bass is looking really nice though =D.

 10. I may be coming into possession of an aerodyne jazz bass soon . However, I was wondering what options there are for replacing the bridge without routing the body (I am not a fan of the bits of bent tin fender seem to issue as standard). I heard the badass II's don't work because of the curved tops, but would other bridges work? I've been looking at hipshot type A bridges and Gotoh 201's. Would they fit fine?
 11. Loved Warpaint and the Arctic Monkeys. Saw Warpaint live last Friday . Were very good.

 18.
Once again the word 'context' is of vital importance. All of those artists have a huge back catalogue of material, played solo or as part of a band (playing their own material) or a band playing as a session player, at Music industry shows (where they are expected to demo gear and it goes without saying that they will be trying to show that gear in a good light... Some people like complex music. Not just the musicians playing it, but the audience themselves. Bass is not just a backing instrument. Bass is not just a solo instrument. Every player lies somewhere on the continuum between these two extremes, and at different times and in different contexts their position can and will vary. Which is as it should be!
+1
