Stealth Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) I’m playing some gigs the year with a “lighter” rock covers / function band. Vocal only PA pubs and clubs. Loudish drummer and 2 guitars. Combo wise what delivers volume without needing an extension cab to get full power. I tried a TC BG250 115 it does the job but it pretty much flat out zero headroom. Budget is around a grand cheaper would be super lol Whats Worked for you Edited 23 hours ago by Stealth Quote
jezzaboy Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Usual answer here. Either a Rumble 500 or 800. I realise that you don`t get full power with just the combo but 300 and 400 watts is plenty for pubs and clubs. I play in an ac/dc covers band with Marshalls and a hard hitting drummer and they do the job. 3 Quote
Lozz196 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Fender Rumble 800 (the non effects one in my case). I don`t think it gets max power without an ext cab but as it`s delivering - at least on paper spec wise - 400 watts then that should be plenty for most venues. 1 Quote
MacDaddy Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago A quick look through the BC market place, and this jumps out. Light weight, loud, and reasonable price Quote
walshy Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago @Beedster has an incredible Ashdown Drophead for sale which would be mighty Quote
Skybone Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Ashdown MAG or RootMaster combos's should meet the requirement. The Rootmaster will be lighter, but the MAG are pretty sturdy. Another one to consider would be the old Ampeg BA-210. Pretty much anything that's rated around 300-500w should give you plenty of power and headroom. Quote
ped Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Eich BC112Pro. It does everything - and if you need more, the DI is great. Quote
