Why don't they give the weights in proper instead of groats and furlongs, or at least as well of them? I don't want to have to divide things by 2.2 to get a proper answer. Perhaps they don't want to sell outside primitive countries.

It's bizarre, isn't it.  Their tape measures don't even have cm/mm on them... :dash1:

They couldn't make their mind up.  Dimensions – HxWxD.    26.125″ x 14.25″ x 14″.            if you're going to use imperial then use imperial please  :  26 1/8" x 14 2/8" x 14

Not a hill I'm prepared to die on (unlike the millennium starting on Jan 1st 2001, though I eventually gave up on that too)

The cabs look good though.

If you were prepared to overlook pedantry, you could have celebrated twice. Like I did.

The handles on  the 112 are not in the right place for a balanced lift and carry.

9kg is not your usual 112. It should dangle ok.

The dangle might help the near side clear your knee just a little as you handbag it.

Easier to 'put' up on a shelf or into a small car boot with the handle like it is.

So when I watch British TV programs (which is almost every day) why do they keep referring to feet, pounds and miles per hour? 🤔 It reminds me of the story of the man who was confused while visiting Quebec. The faucets in his bathroom were both marked C. When he asked the front desk why they both said 'C' the clerk replied 'the one C stands for Cold. The other stands for Chaud. We are bi-lingual.'

Don't get me started Bill!  As a school teacher I was required to educate pupils from Y1 to 6th form to be able to use feet, inches, miles, oz, lbs, pints, gallons (but not quarts) etc AND mm, cm, km, ml, L et al... still teaching this even though we went decimal 55 years ago!  Honestly it used to do my head in!

I should add that I was still doing this up to 7 years ago when I retired aged 55.21 years.

I still measure myself in feet and inches and stones, pounds and ounces. If it ain't broke. . . .

I drive miles in the car and fill it in £'s, not those silly litres things.

It frustrates the hell out of me, Brits using Imperial measurements. I am 74, I grew up with the Imperial system but when I started in Engineering in the late 60s, I had to change to the SI system. Imperial disappeared for the public 50 odd years ago. Get over it. You would not want to buy something fitted with UNC or UNF threads on the screws, why live your life in the past?

Now I have to decide whether to take my 34" or 30" bass to rehearsal.🤣
